Wow I hope the woman ref is not copping a load of abuse - although to be fair, all refs get abuse in football so perhaps it would be more weird if she didn't!!

I am not enjoying these brown shorts that lots of the Nike players are wearing, they're awful! Kecmanovic's are more of a rusty colour (didn't Delpo have rusty shorts last year?!) but Fritz's yesterday were properly brown it's just wrong.

Ah they just showed a clip of Pella-Goffin, I didn't realise they'd played already, I wanted to see that one - that is one good looking match!!

Dick has been up to his old tricks again - he took two racquets to his toilet break and smashed them, threw a water bottle, argued with the umpire, said that Rafa played slower than him and he didn’t get penalised, wouldn’t shake hands with the umpire etc etc - yawn.

Oh and he lost to Karen Khachanov - good riddance!

The Tennis Podcast called his behaviour "disgusting" - they said he spat on the ground in front of the umpire (Fergus Murphy).

On the clip I saw, when he goes off to smash the racquets, the commentator said "you have to laugh" or something like that even if you were a fan of Kyrgios, how would that be funny? It's awful.

Well done Khachanov for keeping professional and managing to win.

Glad to hear Karen won. The commentators really are determined aren't they- no, I wouldn't laugh, I don't find it funny. It's not entertaining , or box office, his behaviour is down right rude.

And I've said it before, the penalties handed out to him mean nothing- it's like sending a stroppy child to naughty step constantly, whilst they laugh behind your back.

And yet, it's other players who he says have a bad attitude when they lose?

I know. It's ridiculous. I don't remember Rafa ever spitting in front of an umpire or questioning his professionalism!

Why doesn't the ATP do anything though? Because he gets attention for tennis I suppose, and puts it on the front pages blah blah. It's so annoying.

Look at Nishioka yesterday, you couldn't get two more different players/personalities. Nishioka came through qualifying, beat a top 5 player who is his idol/fellow countryman etc and gets barely any coverage, or Rublev or Tiafoe or any other great results from yesterday, yet it's all about the latest Kyrgios meltdown.

How long ago was it when he won a title and said he was going to take tennis seriously now? Two/three weeks?!

Ok now I'm losing the plot because RBA won not Tiafoe I was sure Tiafoe won!!

Exactly, there were so many good results- and ones that would be considered upsets- yesterday. But no, they will continue to ignore that until he does what? He's already launched a chair, next time it might be at someone.

Meanwhile Federer and Djok are plodding on without much fanfare. I don't want either to win it. But they are scheduled to play in the semis so that's interesting- plus Fed could meet Medvedev, who might have been annihilated by Rafa on Sunday, but I think could stand a better chance against Fed.
