New drama about a grieving mum who confronts the man accused online for being her sons killer

But is he really a notorious child murderer or a tragic victim of mistaken identity?

In law, there is the accused and the victim. In life, it’s not that simple...

I think this will be quite heart wrenching

massistar

I agree. Her entirely senseless and unanalytical fixation - and rash actions in consequence - COULD be outweighed by her pathos, but it isn't. The dressing down there the DI said she was 'only entitled to her grief' could have had her in pieces, but she was shown as angry and cold.

It's a great little piece. Though I might have to throw something at the telly if she blethers on about being able to force him to confess again!

LadyKylie if he is Eddie then he has been relocated far away from the family

The family are in Edinburgh and Craig is in inverclyde

Piggywaspushed · 10/04/2019 19:35

Which is the point I keep making!

His accent is very Glasgow! Perhaps the porgramme makers are relying on no one knowing this...

FawnDrench · 10/04/2019 19:54

When Craig went all menacing and snarly in court and shouted "you ask Me" to Anna, he reminded me of Ed Norton when he "lost the plot" in court when being questioned in that film years ago about wicked priests (or something like that)

In fact Craig reminds me of a young Ed in a strange sort of way.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/04/2019 19:55

So Craig met TOM in prison?

And became friends

And TOM is his friend sitting by John Hannah in court wringing his hands ?

Tho he said earlier he hadn’t been in prison and the brawl he was let off with slap on wrists

But if the guard in prison said it was one of them in the cell then sounds like it’s mistaken identity

And could TOM be the killer ?

Oh, probably knowing this programme, authenticity of accents aside!

aleC4 · 10/04/2019 21:15

Tonight's episode is already creepier than the others!

BitOfFun · 10/04/2019 21:31

The druggy guy must have attacked Eddie to please Anna.

patsycrime · 10/04/2019 21:32

I think Craig is Eddie J Turner but that he took the rap for Liam's murder, when it was really creepy friend - forgotten his name. Sorry if someone already posted that theory.

BitOfFun · 10/04/2019 21:39

We've still got more to see of the released jailbird ex-husband, I think.

Encyclo · 10/04/2019 21:40

That boyfriend is guilty of something for sure. Did you see the way the policeman involved in the original enquiry looked at him? Red herring?

BitOfFun · 10/04/2019 21:47

This is powerful stuff from the second husband. Great script.

zaffa · 10/04/2019 21:50

I can't believe this will be wrapped up tomorrow night. What is the boyfriends angle do you think?

BitOfFun · 10/04/2019 21:51

It's unlikely he's the killer, but there's something very fishy about him.

BitOfFun · 10/04/2019 21:52

Unless he WAS the killer, but not the one found guilty?

CoolCarrie · 10/04/2019 21:52

Bloody hell this is creepy, that Danny !

CoolCarrie · 10/04/2019 21:54

Good point BitOfFun

zaffa · 10/04/2019 21:55

That's what I'm thinking @BitOfFun. And what's up with needing to say goodbye to the little boy but not his girlfriend ....

DONT GO IN THE GARAGE OMG

BitOfFun · 10/04/2019 21:57

zaffa, maybe because the boy is around Liam's age, and he is tormented by guilt?

BitOfFun · 10/04/2019 21:59

WOAAAAAAAH, it's Tom!

OR IS IT?!

purpleme12 · 10/04/2019 22:00

Oh this is hard viewing but really good

CoolCarrie · 10/04/2019 22:03

I think Craig is going to end up dead, possibly defending Tom from Liam’s Dad who will attack him in the cafe. I think Craig knows that Tom is the killer.
