THE VICTIM BBC MON 9pm

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2019 16:45

New drama about a grieving mum who confronts the man accused online for being her sons killer

But is he really a notorious child murderer or a tragic victim of mistaken identity?

In law, there is the accused and the victim. In life, it’s not that simple...

I think this will be quite heart wrenching

Ha ha, just replied to your other thread. Yes, this looks like it'll be good.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2019 17:57

Why do they clash tho. Annoying

Trying to decide which to watch ‘live’!

RedRiverShore · 08/04/2019 19:20

I might watch this as it has no adverts and it is on each night, The widow is only on today and tomorrow this week, so more time to catch up,

I lost interest in Bay but MotherFatherSon got better last episode if a bit weird

thenightsky · 08/04/2019 21:15

Agree the Bay is getting boring.

Watching this from the start now.. I prefer 4 nights continuous.

Widow on record.

The80sweregreat · 08/04/2019 21:15

It's a flashback drama!
Have to concentrate.

ABC1234DEF · 08/04/2019 21:17

What's with the shaky camera ?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2019 21:24

And I forgot I’m working so both on record

Tho would prob watch bbc victim so can ff through adverts on widow

Any good so far?

thenightsky · 08/04/2019 21:25

Fuck. Confused already. My attention span is turning to shite now I'm old.

ABC1234DEF · 08/04/2019 21:27

Can't handle the weird camera jiggling, I'm out.

TheZeppo · 08/04/2019 21:34

Camera work is terrible.

ABC1234DEF · 08/04/2019 21:52

I can travel anywhere by any means but a shaky camera? Envy

The80sweregreat · 08/04/2019 21:54

The bus driver is guilty isn't he?
I'm losing the will to live here . Camera work is bad I agree and the lawyer was in Eastenders once I think.

RedRiverShore · 08/04/2019 21:58

I fell asleep and woke up and Ferdy from This Life was on there, I think The Widow may have been an easier watch

dontfluffthefluffer · 08/04/2019 22:00

Oooh ferdy, loved him in this life.

I have 2 theories that the boys killer was either the guy attacked or the boyfriend of the daughter but these are likely to be 100% wrong Grin

Encyclo · 08/04/2019 22:01

Watching it. The daughters boyfriend is beyond creepy. Could HE be the killer of Liam?

dontfluffthefluffer · 08/04/2019 22:02

Yes @Encyclo !! I'm not the only one thinking that! Whoop

The80sweregreat · 08/04/2019 22:03

It Could be the boyfriend? Would he be old enough? I guess if he was 10 when he did it he could be ? He looked in his 20s?
This is very close to the Jamie Bulger case I feel?
It's not very gripping but the mum is a good actress.

FawnDrench · 08/04/2019 22:06

The daughters boyfriend is in love with the mother.
I think it was him but perhaps too obvious at this early stage.
The friend of "Craig" is a bit dodgy - did he tell him what the online threat said so he could repeat the words that he suddenly remembered ?

What's with all the bloody front doors made of glass??

Camera work appalling and very annoying.

theliverpoolone · 08/04/2019 22:08

I think the daughter's boyfriend is too young to be the boys killer (he was 13, and it happened about 15 yrs ago), but I think he might be the person who attacked Craig.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 08/04/2019 22:10

I thought that was excellent. Gripping from the start and am really looking forward to the next episode.

Now watching the Widow on ITV +1.

youlladdressmeassir · 08/04/2019 22:12

Ferdy from this life does an excellent Scottish accent. Not many people can manage one

Clawdy · 08/04/2019 22:31

Boyfriend far too young to be the killer, but he could be the Halloween attacker, I suppose, looking uneasy when he heard the police were in the house. Bit of a red herring maybe. I like John Hannah in this.

Mrscaindingle · 08/04/2019 22:32

He does doesn't he youlladdresmeassir I thought that too.

I really want to see the film Wild Rose but I know I'm going to be annoyed with Julie Walters Scottish accent .

Piggywaspushed · 08/04/2019 22:39

Red Herring of creepy boyfriend doing attack surely? Attack was in Port Glasgow and they're in Edinburgh.
