Married At First Sight- is this for real?

This can't be real, surely? Who would be insane enough? I've never seen the show, but do they explain if it's actually an official marriage? I would have thought that the whole concept goes against the solemn nature of the legal contract.

Steph really is not coming across well at all, to put it as politely as possible. Unless the editing has been very unfair to her, she just doesn’t come across as having given Jonathan a chance at any point.
