We have some lovely occasional posters who have lived in Korea, are Korean or have Korean partners/family members who pop in from time to time to provide the context for some of the more baffling cultural references.

We are generally fans of all things Korean, so equally happy to talk about Korean cookery, film and kpop when the mood takes us. To get to grips with the lingo, try dramaloveaddicts.proboards.com/thread/24/korean-word-day?page=1

We have a few frequently used acronyms:
FL/2FL = female lead/2nd female lead
ML/2ML = male lead/2nd male lead
SLS = Second Lead Syndrome (where the FL/MLis too thick to realise how much better the 2ML/2FL is)

We also abbreviate titles if they’re long, but only after using the full title & acronym together. Some of the regular favourite actors have been abbreviated too for speed/efficiency, although “him off Black” seems to have stuck for Song Seung-Heon. Don’t be afraid to ask for help/clues if we’re not making sense or have descended into acronym soup.

I’m enjoying the extra kidnapping on ‘Celebrity’

I have really developed a soft spot for Celebrity. It shifts up to second/third gear soon if you’ve got to the 2nd kidnapping and then the fun really begins. Let’s say that 2ML is surprisingly talented.

Anyone know if there are family suitable kdramas with dubbed English audio? DS2 is kdrama receptive but struggling to keep up with the subtitles.

DS2 requested a nit check/comb so we’ve strayed onto YouTube and branched out from BTS. Loving some of Super Junior’s Hispanic cross-over/collaboration MVs. Mamacita is a hoot, Lo Siento was fun.

At the moment I am enjoying Celebrity more thought the leads and other characters are very engaging.

Have been out in town having drinks with old work chums so slippity fingers on phone. Downloaded Kangchi to watch on tube & Choi Jin Hyuk is mighty fine as per usual

Apparently the CEO ran off with all the money and Sung Hoon didn't get paid

I’m sad if its not a longer run, but Sung Hoon should do really well off the back of this show so I hope that will soften the blow.

There was a Soompi article recently about CJH’s management going after people spreading malicious rumours about him, which of course piqued my interest. Couldn’t find anytinng in English to fill me in. It’s kind of weird they do it, because it amplifies things - unless increaased hits or burying a story about another, less squeaky clean star is the goal.

Yes! They do seem to "print" stories about nothing! There's on there now about someone betting on an outcome of a private golf game...??!...surely that's a non story unless I misread it! 😂

I guessing here but the malicious rumours were just after CJH left The Last Empress early so I assumed it was about that. He’s got a new drama coming up so I doubt it was anything too bad

Decided to give My ID is Gangnam Beauty a try... EP 1... There's a dance bit which netflix has done the obvious switcheroo with the music and... I recognised the dance New Face because I've watched Toasty LJS dance to it!... Checked on YouTube found the original and yes the original music was New Face!....

I've managed to identify a song just by the dance due to too much LJS! 😭😭😭😭😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

That’s so funny! Hate it when Netflix do that it spoils it.
I enjoyed My ID is Gangnam Beauty, it has the baddie from My Strange Hero in a nicer role.

Still on DotS and liking it better now they’re not in Urk.

Impatiently waiting for last ep of Celebrity

Morning all. Late night here, including staying up until stupid o’clock to finish DotS after I got in. DS is poorly, so its my turn to stay home to care for him/recover in front of the telly.
