MissMarplesKnitting · 19/02/2019 12:38

There were two in the last episode: one at the scrap merchant and one at a suspects house.

mogtheexcellent · 19/02/2019 12:50

Loved this episode. Actually I am loving the feel of this series.

I have been thinking Joan may end up marrying Strange for a while now so glad I am not the only one @FancyForgetting

diddl · 19/02/2019 13:04

He seems very Morsey at times now!

I also find the Box & cronies boring.

Strange & Joan-interesting thought!

Morse has had enough chances though hasn't he?

I thought that he was quite nasty to her/disparaging of what she was doing.

rslsys · 19/02/2019 18:32

The red jag that Morse drives was shown on the forecourt of a car dealer in the last series. The black one on axle stands in Sunday's episode was the one that Fred drove which is now being broken up for spares

Encyclo · 20/02/2019 12:20

Loving this series so far. Fred is breaking my heart, and as for Bright...I cried watching him. He was so grateful to Fred for the praise about his work. I really despise Box and co, but I guess I’m supposed to.

diddl · 20/02/2019 13:11

I keep saying it, but Anton Lesser as Bright is just so fabulous.

Yes, the scene with him & Fred & also with him & Morse.

He says little, but expresses so much.

He's so broken.

eddiemairswife · 20/02/2019 13:35

I loved Bright in a previous episode, when he had to shoot the tiger. It was not only the surprising fact that he was such a good shot, but also the evident reluctance that he had to do so and the way he said, "Magnificent creature," afterwards.

Encyclo · 20/02/2019 14:53

And when Morse was looking at the photo of a little girl in Brights house, it was his daughter who had died many years ago. He said so little, but expressed so much. Such a beautiful performance, I just love him

LIZS · 24/02/2019 20:03

Chigton Green - Chigley, Trumpton and Camberwick Green?!

CoolCarrie · 24/02/2019 20:32

Well, well , well Mrs Bright is a nice surprise ! Not who I had in mind at all.

SparklySneakers · 24/02/2019 20:50

There's a lot of corpses tonight!!!

justasking111 · 24/02/2019 20:57

Awash with corpses, how to join the dots though, is it about the cards or is that a red herring.

Encyclo · 24/02/2019 21:07

Anton Lesser is just breaking my heart 💔

LIZS · 24/02/2019 21:12

The irony of Happy Families. poor Bright Sad

SparklySneakers · 24/02/2019 21:20

Oh Fred Sad

PickleFish · 24/02/2019 21:23

Oh Fred indeed :(

I'm sure there was a Lewis episode that had this sort of factory scene

SparklySneakers · 24/02/2019 21:24

It was Morse and the brewery family iirc

Encyclo · 24/02/2019 21:25

That factory is the Hanworth Pumping Station isn’t it?

DareDevil223 · 24/02/2019 21:25

Anton Lesser is a wonderful actor. No one does stoic tragedy like him. There was more emotion in him taking his glasses off and putting them back on than in other actors weeping and wailing. Proper broke my heart.

On a baser note. Shaun Evans.I so would, even with the 'tache....

Encyclo · 24/02/2019 21:27

Strange didn’t trust Thursday last week now that I think about it. He must’ve known Box would get to him.

SparklySneakers · 24/02/2019 21:29

I feel very disappointed in Fred. Unless he's playing the long have with Box. I always try to look for the good.

Encyclo · 24/02/2019 21:30

Exactly Daredevil, he is sublime. I loved him in Wolf Hall too, thought he was more than equal to Mark Rylance. I’d watch him all day

Missmarplesknitting · 24/02/2019 21:31

He's also teeny tiny!!
Apparently a lovely guy.

thefemaleJoshLyman · 24/02/2019 21:42

Brilliant line about Clinton the Rhodes Scholar. I love the little nuggets of brilliance.

BitOfFun · 24/02/2019 21:51

I really loathe this new gaffer. Why he ever wanted to be a detective when he just takes a line and sticks to it, I don't know.
