Didn't realise it was back so soon, I've just read ...... "The show’s officially due to return on AMC on February 10, yet it’ll be made available of AMC Premiere subscribers on February 3" ........ so does that mean its already been on and I can watch it tonight ?

Totally agree with pp on the Highwaymen. I liked the cut of their jib and then suddenly they were gone. One didn’t even get a spiked head!!

My thoughts...
Saddiq- he’s not been given sufficient development to carry off a monologue like that. Only the actual footage gave it any gravitas.
Gabriel- oh just bugger off. Where the f did he get that ridiculous hat?! He’s like something from Children of the Corn now.
Eugene- does my head in. The hair. The voice. He’s done ONE USEFUL THING (backfiring guns). Kill him.
Beta- he’s Opie from Sons of Anarchy. How can this be?!
Deaths- Poor Enid. And Tara. Henry was even more annoying that Carl though. Zero fcks given.
I love Yumiko, Luke and co. I hope they survive for a long time because Eugene and co do my head in.

HJWT re your point on stupidity. Yes I totally agree. They know these are people not walkers. They need weapons for combat, not short knives that allow you to get up close because walkers don’t have fast reactions. To take those wee pairing knives against humans was sheer folly.

One more chance this season to make their mark with the final episode.

I'm going against the grain here and saying I've enjoyed not having sad Rick around although I was starting to like Carl before he met his end!

Bring out Negan I say-him and Daryl teaming up to take on the whisperers with Carol taking on Alpha is what I'm hoping for...
But as always-it will end on a cliffhanger and the tension will have to be rebuilt next season!

Yes I agree Montagu, Negan has to be the big gun to deal with Alpha.
I have grown to hate Scott Gimple as he took the much anticipated arrival of Negan (particularly by the comic readers like me!) and really destroyed the character with too many back bends and theatrics. I am hopeful Angela Kang continues in the vein of season 9 and brings the show back to where it should be.

There’s a theory that it was Siddiq that beheaded everyone, under threat of death by Alpha. I quite like that idea. Although I don’t care much about him either way 🤣 I hope the season finale is good. But I think it would take Carol or Daryl dying to make it a real shocker and I’m not sure they would do that so closely to all the other ones being killed off.

Are the comics still going? I sort of get the feeling the TV show won’t go on much longer. It’s had a big drop in viewers and the actors seem to be deserting it too.

I am quite looking forward to the series finale too.

I stopped watching after Rick left. Dh has carried on watching and we watched the last episode a few days ago. What a load of shit! They killed off Tara! They need to stop making them now. Next season has to be the last. It’s an embarrassment now.

OMG just caught up! I'm in shock. Agree with PP didn't care much about departure of Enid Tara and Henry BUT was still shocked by it to lose that many main characters in one sitting.
I think that alpha and the whisperers are one of the most frightening threats in the entire TV series so far. The start where she cut off the poor ladies hair and was singing - eek! Horrid.
Can't wait for next weeks episode. I disagree with some people's PP that the show is on its last legs I think it's got really good again.
And yes yes release Negan and let him make up for the destruction he caused. Then I'd banish him Cos that's what he fears most being out there alone.

I think it was probably Maggie voice at the end, that's why they mentioned her to remind us she was missing.

I'm loving the show again, tonight's episode was like a film, really tense and shot really well. The walkers hiding in the snowdrifts were really scary.

I didn't twig that Alpha was somewhere warmer because I'm just so used to the confusing time jumps anyway. What did Beta mean about her being away?

Did the Whisperers flood the place and burn it? (Sorry I can't keep track of which place is which out of Sanctuary/Hill Top/Alexandria/other place) How? Was it during the fair?

I didn't understand why Carol and Ezekiel split up. Although at best I only understand 75% of this show. I hope she hooks up with Darrell, cuts her hair and gets mean again.

If they were worried about the whisperers catching them walking across their borders then they couldn't of been that far away surely? So they would of also had snow/blizzard conditions. Unless the whisperers have left the area and Michonne etc don't realise this.

I felt tense that whole episode, especially crossing the river etc but a bit disappointed at the end that there wasn't actually any real action! I'm surprised they haven't had to deal with more bad weather over the years tbh.
Yes it looks like alpha etc had left to somewhere warmer so weren't there - mind you I can't see how they would have survived at all if they stayed. It sounds like she's changed her mind anyway and will be plotting something next series.
I like the fact that they are all together again. I guessed that after Carols chat with Daryl that she felt she had gotten soft again and allowed herself to live the 'fairytale' and now that Henry was gone she needed to toughen up and be by herself again like she did last time when she went awol.

I don't understand the radio part. The new world started approx. 8 ish years ago (going off of Judith's age) surely no one would be still looking for survivors using radio equipment after so long?

I was also hugely confused about where Alpha and her group were. They must have walked for ages to get somewhere warm yet last weeks deaths still seemed recent. Was there another small time jump of a month or 2 otherwise how the fudge did they get so far away so quickly?
