I'm just a little bit excited about the new series Grin

Didn't realise it was back so soon, I've just read ...... "The show’s officially due to return on AMC on February 10, yet it’ll be made available of AMC Premiere subscribers on February 3" ........ so does that mean its already been on and I can watch it tonight ?

Been running since Halloween 2010

They’ve run out of ideas

Only so many times they can meet a baddie. Get hurt /killed /survive and do it again

desperatehousewife21 · 08/03/2019 07:08

Agree thought this episode was really boring, nothing happened. Think they just added in Alpha killing those 2 folk for a bit of drama but pointless cos I don’t know/ care who they are?

Next week looks more action packed at least.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 08/03/2019 21:27

Urrgh. Booooooring. A Trade Fair? Sums it up really. And Samantha Morton is usually so amazing in everything she does, but not this, the cod Southern accent, Chrissake. Rosita and Gabriel? No, wouldn’t happen. And Eugene, lovesick Eugene? Turns out the mullet wasnt the stupidest hair-don’t he could have had. I’m done. Deleted it and not even half way through. Cut the series link. OMG, it’s ‘Lost’ all over again. 🙁

Allyg1185 · 08/03/2019 21:49

Am I the only one excited by Ryan Hurst joining the cast as Beta??

saoirse31 · 13/03/2019 07:35

Yeah like him, think samantha Morton v good too, and girl who plays lydia. Am enjoying this season so far!

ChristineBaskets · 13/03/2019 11:39

I think Samantha Morton is overacting terribly as Alpha. The awful accent and the posturing ffs. I thought Morgan was bad but she's making him look subtle!

I really dislike the bits of comedy they are trying to shoehorn in too, so unnatural and cringy.

And why would people still call Ezekiel 'your majesty' when he hasn't even got his tiger anymore! Ridiculous, he's just some tit with a Shakespeare fetish. I'll be glad when Alpha kills him prompting Carol to shave that ridiculous wig off and go Bad Carol again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/03/2019 20:45

A trade fair? Really

And the highway men now helping

cushioncovers · 15/03/2019 10:11

Yep wasn't impressed with this weeks episode. Can't take SM seriously at all in this role. And the trade fair crap was so unbelievable. And carol's hair looks ridiculous

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 15/03/2019 10:20

Oh god the highwaymen, utterly pointless. Although when they popped up to save Our Lot from the walkers the banjo background music made me wonder if they were going Z Nation on us and taking the piss!

Agree I can't get excited about Alpha either. Although Lydia bears an uncanny resemblance to Lori, she's a very pretty girl. Henry is just bloody annoying like Coral was in his younger days.

So I reckon because despite me saying it's crap I know I'll still watch it to the bitter end then come here and slag it off with you lot Grin---- Judith is going to end up in a perilous situation and Negan will save her thus slightly redeeming himself in Michonnes eyes.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 15/03/2019 10:22

The trade fair will be like one of those bring and buy sales your kids force you to go to where you have to donate loads of crap then walk around pretending to think it's all lovely and charming and you end up paying to buy your own crap stuff back. And then you realise there wasn't even a cake stall like you were led to believe.

AlphaMaz · 15/03/2019 18:03

Ryan Hurst is awesome,he's perfect for the role, him and samantha Morton, loving this season 😊

FangsTasticBeast · 15/03/2019 18:06

I’m really enjoying this season. Best one in a long time

saoirse31 · 16/03/2019 09:19

Not getting the hate on the trade fair, surely it's a reasonable method to get working relationships back between the various towns to everybody's benefit? Also for individuals who dont travel from where they live must be a massive event in their lives...

UnicornButterfly · 16/03/2019 20:57

I'm confused - just watched episode 11 so I'm a bit behind. Did we go back in time for a bit? Because Carol's hair was shorter and they mentioned talking to Jesus...

AlphaMaz · 16/03/2019 22:02

Yes,at the start of episode 11 it was at some point in the last 6 years before the time jump.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2019 14:39

That went over my head THey went back in time

UnicornButterfly · 18/03/2019 21:06

Thanks!
Just watched 'Choke Point'. Enjoyed it but the Highwaymen seemed a bit pointless.
Beta is horrible!
Will Daryl find love with pretty and good at tracking and sling-shotting mute lady (can't remember her name)?

Kitsandkids · 18/03/2019 22:52

Gosh, it’s quiet in here!

Tonight’s episode was quite heartbreaking. Michonne with those kids 😥. Do we think the one with blonde hair who ran off will turn up again at some point? Has that phrase that Jocelyn said been used by another group? ‘Those who survive, thrive.’ It sounded familiar. What was the branding all about? What was the point of it?

StormyLovesOdd · 18/03/2019 23:07

That was a great episode tonight though parts of it were quite hard to watch. I'm sure we'll see the little blonde girl again. She was a bit older than Judith wasn't she so she'd probably be about15 now?

No idea re the branding and stuff but yes I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of a bigger story. Surely M's friend can't have been the only adult. The kids reminded me of The Lost Boys.

It is really really quiet in here. Think everyone else has given up on the show?

AlphaMaz · 19/03/2019 08:39

Really good episode, very emotional, I thought the scars had something to do with the beef with Maggie so it was a surprise how it went down.Still feels like an unanswered question the Maggie fall out or could it simply be that Michonne detached herself from everyone outside of Alexandria?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 19/03/2019 11:46

So it feels like it's getting back on track now! Awww it was sad though poor Michonne and so soon after losing Rick too. She is such a bad ass though I LOVE HER!

I felt we needed more back story to Joslyns gang and why the kids were so Children of the Corn. And did I miss something as it seemed D and M got out of their ropes v quickly suddenly?

The jumping back and forth is also confusing me too, I have to pay attention to people's hair to become un-confused Confused

Now I'm worried for Darryl's safety for some reason. I think Beta will kill him.

I also found Reading Negan quite hot, he's softer but still gruff. Maybe it's the denim shirt. I think he's going to come good.

See you next week you lot!

saoirse31 · 19/03/2019 20:32

Thought it was very good, I took the branding to be maybe a part of turning the kids into soldiers for the group essentially, ready to do anything for the group... poor Michonne... Nice to see the younger Judith!

chimichangaz · 19/03/2019 23:13

I'd seen a spoiler on Twitter about last nights episode so when I watched it tonight I was almost prepared. It was pretty shocking and somehow reminded me of the Terminus season...

Will try to post the link, it explains a bit more including the branding (I think)

RedForShort · 20/03/2019 06:47

I'm hoping Daryl does find love with the deaf woman, because she's lovely (and also he might actually wash himself).

I couldn't quite figure out why Michone's long lost friend was collecting children. Seemed an odd hobby- exactly why did she need to steal more.

Michone is fabulous isn't she. I think she's the one character I like everything about.

Henry is just irritating. Totally agree with the pp he's like Carl.

Have to say I'm totally bored with the rehashing of a over the top baddie. Who with their inexplicably unwaveringly loyal band of followers do bad things just to be bad. Will still watch though!

yumyumpoppycat · 20/03/2019 12:48

Maybe children will do as they are told while at the same time being adaptable and resourceful for whoever they are following. A group of mainly children would have to be hardened and self reliant as it would be impossible to keep them alive by looking after them and keeping them innocent like Michonne was trying to do with Judith. I was wondering if maybe the friend was a teacher before, or possibly it was a situation where the adults in the group had to go off and fight a Negan type war and she was left with the children - now there is/was strength in numbers so she was adding to their army. I guess also if Michonne's friend was involving new children in the game they would share information like where the keys are and help carry food etc?

I prefer zen Negan although I am not sure how realistic it is - I suppose in his own way he was trying to keep people safe before.
