It's been all downhill for those writers since the first series of The Missing. I'm amazed they keep getting commissioned if this is the best they can do.

One of Us was unspeakably bad.

Liar was formulaic and generally a bit meh.

The Missing, series two was watchable but not exactly brilliant and the resolution felt contrived & unsatisfying.

Rellik I suppose I can't really comment on because I made three attempts at the first episode and fell asleep each time. So hmm.

I won't bother watching anything else written by them.

That was rubbish, it never really took off and wtf re the guy with the cleaver.

Well. I've not commented since week one or so because I'm never at pace, I enjoyed the series, but blimey Charlie that last episode was ABSOLUTELY SHITE.

The Big Bad turns out to be the estranged son he literally found out existed a couple days before?!

And that's the SHOCK TWIST with DEEP IMPACT

It would have been a bigger twist if it eventually turned out it was Jessica Raine or Tom Hollander.

Also very disappointed, too many weaknesses in the story and quite obvious where the story was heading.

It’s as if the writers put cleaver man in and then forgot to write the rest of that scene. Have to say I found Baptiste’s character supremely irritating by the end . Thank goodness LoD is back next week for some proper telly

I fell asleep at one point and thought I had missed a bit where cleaver man was somehow despatched. It seems not!

I knew the episode was gping to be one of those 'let's all just discuss our way to the ending' ones the minute Edward started having a chat with Claire's murderer.

Who was the guy in the hospital btw? I am confused who the other woman was...

The man in the hospital was an undercover detective who infiltrated the Romanian gang but was caught out because of his relationship with Genevieve the Interpol/ Europol officer. The other lady was his wife. She was 'giving permission' to Genevieve to continue visiting.
Who shot Martha. I replayed it a few times but couldn't make it out. What was she going to do with the gun she was pulling from her bag anyway ? Because of the angle she could perhaps shoot at Niels foot or other police officers or Baptiste imho.
I don't understand the point of the man in Genevieves apartment. Unless he was just bugging it and she knew.

I can only presume clever man was going to kill euro pol woman but left when he discovered no longer had protection from the big bad Romanians:
'Are we safe now?'
'Yes'.

I did actually chuck my tea over myself when that bmw suddenly came out and started shooting at JB's jag. My jumper was clean on too! . Was predictable, but I enjoyed. Thought I'd missed something re the meat cleaver man, but obviously not.

Well that was a great disappointment and stole time that could have been usefully spent rewatching LOD in preparation for next week. Don't let us down Jed!

Yes, Genevieve and Hospital Man's Wife were shown arguing at the hospital. Constantin and pals were responsible for his vegetative state. Possibly Kim's former self was involved (evidently I've forgotten his name). Which was why Genevieve was so crazed to get them.
