I saw a picture of Roger and Bree recently from filming S5 and thankfully Roger looked much more like the gorgeous person he is in real life. The last series did him no favours at all in the costume/makeup department.

I agree Roger looked awful in this last series.

And on a different note I think it was unrealistic that Roger wouldn't have traveled back with Jamie and Claire to the aunt's plantation. He didn't know the area or have any provisions and would of been vulnerable traveling alone.

So when is series 5?

They've only just started filming so I don't think there's any hope of it being this year.
I think it'll be early 2020.

Book 5 is not my favourite, but at least they won't have had too much problem cutting it down to fit TV. Just cut about 90% of the bloody gathering.

I love book 5. It might be my favourite one, actually. Although I agree that they'll be able to cut a whole lot of stuff without actually impacting on the main plot progressions.
It'll be interesting to see where they take the story, really. I can hardly wait.

Hi all. It's taken me ages to find this thread as it dropped off my watched thread list.
Thought there might be a bit of activity on here as we're fast approaching the new season.
I'm looking forward to some new episodes instead of watching previous ones again and again.

Just marking my place. Looking forward to this season, there are some rumours that it will be book 5 and some of book 6. I think they will definitely cut out parts of the Gathering.

I've just finished a rewatch of season 4. Now I wish I hadn't finished it so early, as it will be a long couple of weeks until season 5 starts!

Looking forward to Outlander coming back, I've not read the books so no idea what's coming
