Manon cooked all French in Danish week, it might have all been better (ie not burnt!) but she didn’t stick to the brief at all so Rahul had to go through over her as at least he tried. That was the reason they gave.

What a fix, Rahul was so insipid. KJ won the first two rounds so should have won the whole thing.

I'm happy he won but those big ugly cakes were a really bad way to finish this year off!

Everyone knows blue isn't appetizing and those 'landscape cakes' were not edible looking.

That was a disappointing finale. I wanted KJ to wine (Dan was my early favourite) but that showstopper was pants all around.

Having binge watched the previous 8 seasons this really didn't feel on the mark to me. The amount of early Hollywood handshakes were ridiculous.

Do miss the finals of show stoppers like a wedding cake. With a sensible time to bake and decorated. Also miss the days where Paul wasn’t a total tosspot: “oh your burnt you pitta bread and your dips aren’t nice. No, no doesn’t matter that’s it’s not actually baking. Nor that I couldn’t manage it in twice the time”

Feels bit like Kim-Joy didn’t win because she made ginger biscuit. I’d have like Ruby to win, but that final was too weak to show skills.

I don't believe he has a wife, the way his mum was chucking him under the chin and his friends were treating him like their adopted child.

I think you're right glamourus - not likely to get one either if he acts like he's six.

Agree, they seem to think making it difficult and giving them less time makes it more interesting. It really hasn’t. I’d much prefer to see a beautiful wedding cake than that blue/brown stuff they just did.
Think they’ve forgotten that we all want to see cakes we could make (well, I couldn’t!!). Not some vegan cake that can’t stand up, some Danish stuff Boone’s ever heard of, cooking on an open fire that hardly anyone does except a dodgy burger!!
Hope they go back to basics next year.

To be fair we don't know what any of it actually tasted like. (I remember the Sweet Trolley - a staple of seventies fine dining - when you chose something that looked stunning only to find it tasted of nothing except greasy "cream" and too much sugar.
