Yes well done basilashvili - he did seem a bit subdued after winning. What was with the weird hand print thing - it’s the sort of thing my kids did at nursery! The Star Wars type music is a bit weird as well - I can’t tell what Delpo is saying.

magi Delpo has had flu apparently - he looked very under the weather! I recommend a fisherman's jumper and a nice log fire

Good week for him though, he was playing really well until today and he's qualified for London so pretty all in all.

Poor Delpo - he seems to get a lot of colds - will be good to see him in London though.

Now that the nights are drawing in the thought of Delpo in his fisherman jumper with a log fire is very tempting . Wish I could train myself to have dreams like that!

Fizzy I know, I wish it was a recurring dream but no! Recently I've just been having panicky dreams about work instead, not exactly pleasant!!

He does seem to get a lot of colds. I read an interview with Andy Murray once where the interviewer made a big thing of how he used anti bacterial gel after he shook her hand, saying he carries it everywhere to cut down on colds etc. Seems pretty sensible to me but it was reported as a bit odd!

I love watching Stan. The French Open final when he beat Djokovic was one of my favourite matches ever. Plus the single handed BH. Oh and that match at Wimbledon a couple of years ago when Gasquet beat him was like backhand paradise!!! 😍

No you didn't miss much at all ferrier. And Nishikori also lost in Tokyo which was a bit unexpected too.

Ooh I love a good single handed backhand! Wimbledon had some highlights of that Stan v Gasquet match on their Facebook page not too long ago. Twas great stuff. It's great that Tsitsipas and Shapavolov both have single handers - it's alive and well!!

Shanghai should be good, although apparently 6 top 20 player aren't playing: Rafa, Fabio, Goffin - and I think Dimitrov is out with an injury as well. Not sure who else. But it'll be good to see Federer, Djokovic back in action. I think this is their first tournament since the US Open?
