Not off for 10 days or so but seem to have massive piles of stuff to get as we are going there for Xmas (flying, hand luggage only).

Yes definitely! When I first saw "retired" I thought it was going to be Delpo who'd retired, thinking well, I've qualified for London now so CBA! But I should have known he'd never do such a thing!

in the absence of Rafa to defend his title, I'm glad it might be Juan who wins.

looks like Nishikori's comeback is going well in Tokyo too.

Sadly Fognini went over on his ankle near the end of his QF and is likely to miss Shanghai too according to reports 😢

The Shanghai draw has been made. Stan and Kyrgios could face each other in the second round ! Stan plays Coric in the first round though...

Could be a tough draw for Stan then, Private , I'm hoping he has a decent couple of rounds in him. I'd love to see him beat Kyrgios.

I do like Basilashvili (have just looked him up and decided he's not to hard to spell when you separate out Basil + ash + vili) ... It's a shame he had to beat Kyle though.

I'm having a very icky weekend - dd2 was given medication to clear her out this weekend (she suffers from chronic constipation, tmi) and she's been really unwell with it. For once, it would have been great if there was tennis on over night .

Yay Stan for his potential match with Kyrgios! Coric is a tough first round though. I think Kyrgios plays a qualifier first.

Sorry to hear about your DD Raahh. I have to be careful to keep 'regular' (diverticular probs) & have found that eating stewed apple every day really helps.

I love watching Stan. The French Open final when he beat Djokovic was one of my favourite matches ever. Plus the single handed BH. Oh and that match at Wimbledon a couple of years ago when Gasquet beat him was like backhand paradise!!! 😍

On the food front, I love a bit of stewed apple, as does DS. He was complaining the other day as I made it with normal eating apples, rather than Bramleys, which he's come to expect! He's ruined, I tell you, ruined!
