I was watching the scores for that, looks like Alex lost his way in the 3rd set. He's another young player who has really progressed this year.

Yes he played really well. I think he just gave it everything to win that second set and then ran out of gas in the third. Second set was good though.

I'm pleased to report that Jaziri looks much better on TV than he does in this photo I didn't know much about him even though he's been around for a while but it seems, unfortunately for him, politics has interfered a lot with his career.

Really wish I could watch the women's tournament in Beijing. Sabalenka sounds as though she's playing amazingly - I have not seen much of her, only in the US Open against Osaka but she was brilliant then. Stupid fragmented tennis broadcasting!

Some unexpected match ups in the Beijing men's QFs. Fucsovics (of Djokovic ice bath fame ) plays Fognini, Delpo plays Kranjovic (no idea how to spell that) - and Kyle Edmund is still in it too.

I've not seen much of Tokyo except Tsitsipas' match this morning. Is Shaggy still in? (I could just check that myself obviously )

magi I'm agog at the Christmas presents! We do a secret Santa in my family and there's outright refusal to even consider picking the names out of the hat until after Halloween!! Slackers, the lot of them.

I can imagine the postage - we send presents to our New Zealand relatives every year and it's so pricey. when are they going to get Amazon over there?!

The Tokyo semis look better than the Beijing ones I reckon! Apart from Delpo of course - that should be a good match against Fognini, who's beaten him this year already.

We have got a viewing on our house tomorrow, the first one - so I'm having to do some tidying up. But it won't get in the way of my tennis viewing!!
