Anyone looking forward to watching this tonight? 9pm on BBC1.
It's a co-production with Netflix, starring Toni Collette (Muriel's Wedding , The Sixth Sense).

Apparently it's the naughtiest drama to grace the BBC! They've said they are ready for a swarm of complaints..

Ha ha I thought that top cat

I didn't believe the sex therapy scenario. Most sex therapy is much more practical suggestions and less listening to your dreams stuff.
I can't see this open marriage thing ending well, they don't communicate well at all. The sex is a minor problem

LittleBookofCalm · 06/09/2018 07:13

Just starting to watch this, enjoying the couple therapy, that seems well written with the man jabbering on talking nonsense, like you do.

BamboofordinnerAgain · 06/09/2018 07:45

I quite enjoyed it, Toni Colette is great. But wondering why their 20 something year old son is still at school...

LittleBookofCalm · 06/09/2018 07:47

I thought, or probably assumed, it was college

LittleBookofCalm · 06/09/2018 08:08

Actually after a hip replacement for example the question of sex is asked by the doctors/consultants, so no sniggering involved. it is natural

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/09/2018 09:15

@BamboofordinnerAgain Was he 20something? I assumed about 17!

shhhyou · 06/09/2018 09:30

I watched this but didn't really get it and can't see where it's going.
Hopefully not just the two of them shagging around.

Badtasteflump · 06/09/2018 13:34

Only watched it for the rude bits - which were quite dull unfortunately Grin

Found it interesting enough to give it another go next week though. Plot was a bit holey though - my most annoying bits - the doc looking embarrassed when she asked about if she was ok to have sex. He would have heard it all before and not pulled unprofessional embarrassed faces - and it's a reasonable question anyway. The way they both reacted to hearing the other's confession of infidelity was just daft - no shock, no reaction at all really and both fine about it about 20 seconds after finding out. Cannot believe that would ever happen.

Loved their house though, and am hugely envious of the posh shed/therapy/tossing off room - I want one!

OneToThree · 06/09/2018 13:48

Well I’m definitely in the minority and loved it.

Badtasteflump · 06/09/2018 13:55

Oh and also the teacher wanking at his desk - firstly, surely no teacher would risk getting caught doing that. If he was that desperate there are toilet cubicles. And using an underwear catalogue? Surely nobody's done that since about 1980.

Why was everybody in this show obsessed with wanking anyway?

AnyFucker · 07/09/2018 09:38

Pile of wank. Literally.

Badtasteflump · 07/09/2018 16:59

😷

sunyousaw · 08/09/2018 14:21

Just watched it and really enjoyed it. I liked the awkward dialogue. I loved her fantasy of jumping on Marvin in the car. And obviously I want a toss-office.

MrsCatE · 09/09/2018 20:05

Anybody else sad reflects their real life? Just watched on catch up and sobbing - re being injured, chronic pain and trying to reconnect sexually with husband and being rejected. Not sure if he's been unfaithful. I could have since going back to work (with really nice blokes) but haven't - because I think infidelity is sh±&.

dogsdinnerlady · 09/09/2018 20:40

Forget the sex scenes. I was shocked at the way the so-called English teacher (female one) spoke like a sweary teen. Quote: 'I was, like, what the actual fuck...'
Not much of an example to, like, the students.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 09/09/2018 20:42

Hated it and I usually love anything with Toni Collette in it. Absolute load of tosh.

covetingthepreciousthings · 11/09/2018 20:28

Episode two tonight...

So far today it seems a warning for singletons to stay clear of sex mad married folk who just want a quickie asap

PouchofDouglas · 11/09/2018 21:26

Love it. Love the sex. Would love to try an open marriage

PouchofDouglas · 11/09/2018 21:26

Weird you lot hate it. Everyone I know loves

nowifi · 11/09/2018 21:30

I'm liking it still. Mainly as everything on the bbc is usually so dire it makes it look good!

2rebecca · 11/09/2018 21:30

If we had an open marriage I wouldn't want to hear the details of his sex

lowtide · 11/09/2018 21:38

It’s just fucking odd. That kid asking if he can finger someone for practise and she says I’ll think about it.
I just wanted to scream BOUNDARIES BOUNDARIES.

PouchofDouglas · 11/09/2018 21:40
