I've also started watching LoD - two episodes in. Loving it.

Binge watched last night. Amazing. But lots of oversights/gaps/unanswered questions...but who cares! :-)

And is it just me or did anyone else think she was reading erotica on a tablet in the hotel room? Or was it a smut report of MI5? Wondered because she then got horny and went next door for a booty call!

There is always a LoD thread on here whne it is on, which is mad as it is so gripping it is almost impossible to MN whilst watching it!

Worth bearing in mind all our madcap theories for LoD were generally wide of the mark...

Just discovered that DH has gone ahead and watched the next 2 episodes of LoD without me. He's now watching episode 5 while I keep out of the way so I can watch the rest of the series in order.

Finally got to watch episode 3 now ds is going back to school (bloody teenagers who can stay awake longer than me). I am certain Slash is undercover for the Security Services to take out Julia, and i think he stuck the bomb to Tahrir's briefcase while 'inspecting' it. I also think he assaulted the Charlotte F in KH's report. I have no evidence supporting any of this, but think about it - there wouldn't be any, would there? [taps nose]

Durty - definite LTB territory but then I've been single 15 years there's little I'd tolerate. Too used to getting own way on such things now.

I am sure that that report wasn’t about David/Dave.

If it didn’t include sexual assault, it would be a different matter, but I just can’t see how he would get anywhere near the Home Secretary if information like that was discoverable about him.

I think the Dastardly Rob's plan was to show up Tahir, i.e. Julia makes highly damaging speech containing factual errors. Julia goes apeshit with Tahir 'you were meant to fact check this' and fires Tahir way before he gets a chance to make his case that Rob told him the speech had been fact checked and was ready to go. Who knows, maybe the plan then was that a disgruntled Tahir would go to the press and damage Julia still further.

I think the sexual report case was against Julia's husband. I wonder why they split up? No doubt this will be revealed soon - it could be that Julia has a chequered history as well!

Wasn't the implication that the file she was reading on the pad was related to the PM?

That's the assumption people have jumped to given that she is ambitious and others have mooted that she has her sights set on being PM. Why go to the PM if it was about him, unless you thought it was fabrication designed to be damaging or was about someone else and you were warning him/tipping him the wink? That's what I think she was doing and why she didn't want the security services, who supplied the info, to know.

I think it was about the PM and I think she went to him to set him on the Security services so she herself could use it to advance her own leadership bid. Maybe she’s blackmailed him into resignation.

On the other side she did open the war with the ‘leadership ‘ change very clearly and soon after that.

The facts that Julia went off to the PM shortly after getting the information on the tablet, and thereafter he was apparently talking about standing down, cannot be coincidental. If the information wasn't about the PM it was about someone close to him.

My thought is that the secret service or someone in government wants to get rid of the Muslim side to create an anti Muslim tension in the country, which will give the security device more power to for hat they want.

I think the aide is too small a fish in this.

They already have the Muslim bombers in n the van.
