Just saw the second episode and have to say it is spellbinding. The way the story unfolds is excellent am loving it.

Actual - just because you don't agree doesn't make those of us who think she's unconvincing in sex scenes (and not just in this role) are wrong.

I wonder if close protection officers are trained about the risk of the principal turning to them for sex? But no point banning dramatic licence in a drama.

The moment when the attack starts was well done, and the awful creepy smile on the face of the van co driver as the police officer approached was chilling. Nothing will ever top Emergency Exit Required, tho. A top telly moment of a lifetime.

Watched both last night, enjoyable drama but a few sighs from me at times.

Gina McKee, that accent was awful from some kind of Irish twang (?) back to geordie, and for usually such a good actress I though she was quite wooden.

I couldnt actually see her in them due to the magnificent sight of him in his white vest making me lose my eyesight.

Did not find the King of The North attractive either, just something I cannot put my finger on, but glad you liked his rather fetching white vest!

isn't the in the way vest on purpose? The (poorly acted 😬 pft) sex neither has fully undressed yet, she's not see how scarred he is. It occured more for the intimacy after a traumatic event than attraction I thought

I know people who have a thing for Keeley Hawes. Finding it odd posters are trying to make out no one in the world could possibly think her attractive and so she shouldn't have sex (even fictional sex!)

Graphista, The issue is the specifically sexist / ageist post that the PP quotes. Not that some people may or may not find her attractive. That is if course subjective.

But to suggest that it is ‘weird’ or cringeworthy for a woman you don’t happen to consider attractive to have sex, or embarrassing in some way for an older woman to have sex with a younger man is buying into a very particular stereotype.

The sex shown is awkward, leaves them uneasy rather than relaxed...avoids the usual cliched glowy TV sex.

Well I think Keeley Hawes is bloody gorgeous. And a great actor, I love her in everything she has done.
