I absolutely love Sue Devaney. She was fab in Dinnerladies!

I was just thinking about Sue Nicholls and Helen Worth.

They must have a very unique relationship, both on, and off-screen, mustn't they?

They've been playing a totally convincing Mother and Daughter for over forty years now!

I bet many of us, who have been Corrie viewers for all that time, subconsciously think that they are related!

Theirs must be the longest enduring acting partnership ever.

Possibly excluding The Archers, of course. But I'm not even sure about that

What on earth was up with Bet when she heard Alf had bought the shop back. She looked totally pissed off

I wondered that! I’d expected her to be surprised or amused, but not annoyed. Especially as two of her best customers (and friends) will now not be moving away. Very odd.

In that same scene, Emily didn't seem too thrilled either

I'm sure she and Bet exchanged a 'look'.

I put it down to them thinking Audrey was putting on an act, pretending to be pleased the Alf had bought the shop back.

What always makes me laugh in corrie is that they try and make out Blackpool.and Lythem St Annes,s is so far away it's about an hour tops, 50 minutes on a good day ,I live in Bolton not to.far from the fictional weatherfield( Salford) Alf and Audrey could have popped back to the street whenever they wanted and ,the Houghton,s could come and see Tommy several times a week if they wished .

I know! It's strange seeing her behind the bar in The Rovers in both Classic and Current Corrie at the same time.

Sally Ann Matthews has barely aged, it’s true!

I like the character. Very nuanced, she’s not out-and-out selfish. Such good writing in those days.

Yes that was weird ,showing my age but the actor that played Craig was "Gruey" , in Gruey and Gruey Twoey!

I thought I'd missed something. It was very bizarre

I also thought it was strange how Tanya came to the Rovers to get a job. It's not like LIz sacked her and she probably made good tips at the Queens. Why would she want to work in a backstreet pub? Liz isn't having much luck with staff.

Jim McD is a piece of work, he acts the injured party when he was the one who wanted the pub as well as LIz and threw the head up as soon as they moved in. Liz would get a good talking to on MN for her backsliding.

I still love seeing Deirdre's staring eyes caught in the camera on the finishing shots.

Phyllis looks like she has lost weight.

Jenny was too rash with Rita, she has zero empathy if she couldn't see how asking for money for the shop was a mirror of what her father had done. She needed to play a longer game. Like others it's amazing how little Sally Ann has aged. I always thought she looked quite mature for her age when young and the wardrobe people always had her dressed in quite dowdy clothes and colours for a young person. Sally was more on trend.

I've just caught up now and I don't remember most of this apart from the French lessons. It's quite scary going from this to present day Corrie watching young Kevin and then seeing old Kevin and Ken who was 80 in today's episode.

I don't remember Andy's girlfriend and googled the actress Louise Duprey and saw that she sadly died of an overdose. She was very beautiful.

Didn’t know that about the actress who played Andys gf, how sad

According to Wikipedia she was 35 when she was in Corrie 😯

Yeah I read that red but Andy said she was 23 the other day and she certainly didn't look 25 ? Odd casting.

I actually thought I was miscalculation when I saw her date of birth on Wiki. No way did she look 35.

I see she was also meant to marry Andy and be a long term member of the cast but suffered a breakdown & had to be written out. Very sad.

So sad. Her life could have been so very different, as a key character in CS.

Mel B (Scary Spice) took over her role for a few episodes, so that the character could be written out properly.

Con Mel B was in yesterday's episode ,where they were talking in the dark i think she's in anymore? Well not according to Google anyway .

I missed a few episodes. Please can someone tell me why Tracey is not speaking to Deirdre.

No.proper reason really Rock ,I think she's just being a petulant teenager I don't think they fell.out ,just Tracy felt like Deirdre was treating her like a child, so.she moved in with " Craig" Deirdre went round to Craig's flat and was horrified at the living conditions ,I didn't think they were that bad tbh, far better than the student house i lived in!
