Can't believe it time for Queen's again. Hope the weather holds out- bit gloomy in the north west.

I would love to hear what AC said as well! He usually kind of glosses over his tennis career, unlike Mark Petchey, say - who always talks about when he played but in a v self-deprecating way. I like Petch!

I just have to say that I love how everyone on this thread can have different views and we all can all get along and have a sense of humour about things without people taking offence at every little thing.

Watched Today @ Wimbledon last night & both DH & I were struck by how different Henman looked. DH reckons he's put on weight but I wondered if he's had Botox?

I agree. This, along with the Doctors thread I'm on, is just an easy place to ramble away from the rubbish of RL. Which lately, has got just a bit too grown up for my liking ..

So, this is my sanctuary from all that. In the Doctors thread, we talk utter crap, and here, i can indulge in my passion for tennis (which like AC, I've never been able to play , and ogle a a few players whilst I'm at it..

Andrew, Claire and Annabel, were discussing retirement ages and stuff, and asking Annabel if she regretted retiring so young- she was only 21. She said she didn't, wishes she had known a few more things, but had no regrets on her decisions. AC said he carried on from the age of 22-28- knowing he was not very good, until he got a call (from ITV) with a job offer. By then, I think he needed the money ! . He was quite funny about it really.

Don't get me me started on the scheduling - and no, it wouldn't happen happen to Roger.

I love this thread: so many other threads are snipy and bitchy and you can’t express an opinion without someone having a pop at you. But I know here I could say...I don’t know...Ooh, that John Inverdale, wouldn’t mind a bit of that, and you’d all just be: Never mind, the heat gets to us all, have a bit of a lie down.

I feel the same as you Raahh - I'm all about the escapism these days. I only really post on here and the classic films thread, which is also full of nice friendly chat (although I've been totally neglecting it since Wimbledon started). So yay for fun and cheerful threads!!

I was getting fed up of other threads last night. The professionally offended seemed to be out in force!

Tim seems too “real” to get Botox. I’d believe anything of Andrew Castle though.

Have worked out that if I use the half your age plus 7 rule, I can’t perve over anyone under thirty. Are we allowed to admire how aesthetically pleasing they are though?

Inverdale looks very Dickensian in that photo and Rafa looks like he's doing one of those 80's photo shoots where they make you look "glamorous".

That picture of How The Hell Does He Still Have Commentating Jobs Inverdale is appropriately terrifying.

I am allowed to swoon over chaps aged 24 and above. That is pleasing.

Henman looks like he comes from a family with good good genes- I'm not much to look at , but I've got reasonable skin My mother is 67, and has great skin. She looks a lot younger than she is.

Tim probably keeps out of the sun. He seems the sensible sort. Not like Boris 'should have worn a hat' Becker .
