Yes she said something like she’d be surprised if she saw makarova go much further - not very gracious in defeat - she’s gone further than wozniacki.

Fizzy exactly Makarova is an excellent doubles player, (almost made number 1 with Vesnina), she's been quite high in the world too, in singles. Hardly some qualifier who will fade into obscurity.

Caroline needs to focus on herself- she may have won a few things now, but consistency is not her middle name. And I like Wozniakci- I don't like petulant losers.

Agree re Carlos Ramos, always had a soft spot for him. Small but perfectly formed. He walked straight past us into the referees office under Centre Court a couple of years ago

I am having to fit in round sea swimming!! (Sorry, retired old fart here). The weather is just so amazing & the sea is so warm that I am giving up for a sea swim (and it is dictated by the tide).
