Programmes that never get repeated

Every Easter I hope (in vain) that The Passion will be repeated on tv. It was in the late 1990's with Gina McKee and Paul Nichols and set in Devon, never even been released on dvdConfused. Does anyone else remember it? What other programmes have only been on once and you'd like to see again?

I used to love 2 point 4 children, have seen it on gold in the past but only on a few occasions.
One from my childhood 'The Queens Nose' I'd happily sit through that again, the first two are on youtube and brought so many memories back.
Does anyone remember a special that was on itv called Hot Money? Where a bunch of women began stealing from the bank of england where they worked. It had Caroline Quentin and the lady who is now in corrie. That was good.

sinceyouask · 01/04/2018 09:47

Was Bodies a Cardiac Arrest spin off? There was at least one cross over character iirc. Loved them both and thanks to this thread have remembered that!

southeastdweller · 01/04/2018 10:36

Hot Money was fab. I rewatched it a few years ago on YouTube. There was a film of it in 2007 with Katie Holmes called Mad Money but it wasn't too good.

@MyGastIsFlabbered I had fond memories of Juliet Bravo from childhood but saw an episode a few years ago and it was SOOOO SLOOOOW. Nothing happened. I was also disappointed to find her name wasn’t Juliet Bravo Blush

I loved Yellow Thread Street. And Chancer with Clive Owen. I have Chocky, Tripods, Moondial and The Box of Delights on DVD. The Riff Raff element was great. I also loved Dramarama and Running Scared. I mainly remember the kids programmes....

Anyone else remember Poltergeist, the Legacy? It was a (terrible) series about a secret society who fought demons, much like Buffy, (and with the obligatory cheesy 90's voice over intro) but more adult and not as good. I bought the DVD of series 1 Blush but the later series are hard to get hold of.

On another note, I was thrilled to find virtually all the episodes of The Detectives are available on YouTube, and have been watching them with DH. 😍

zwellers · 02/04/2018 18:19

Yes to poltergeist the legacy. Used to be on sci fi channel. Still have the tie in novels and a love of Derek de lint. Whoever up thread said fleet Street navity you can get it on dvd. Would also love too see distant shores with Peter davidsonagain; the canadian law drama street legal; and tell comedies trevors world of sport and fear stress and anger. the zoo vet series was called one by one. Was scared by that show when someone got mauled by a tiger.

southeastdweller · 02/04/2018 19:57

I wish I could watch again a BBC drama from 2000 about step-families called Other People's Children. The acting was amazing (Joanne Froggatt and Lesley Manville were in the cast).

Southwest12 · 02/04/2018 20:24

One by One, the zoo series on the BBC, was on a Saturday evening. I’ve such fond memories of cod in butter sauce for tea and sitting down to watch it and then off to bed.

redfairy · 02/04/2018 22:37

The Grimleys with Amanda Holden. Loved the brummie accents!

MrMeSeeks · 02/04/2018 22:55

Loved poltergeist the legacy! I used to stay up and watch all the cult tv shows on channel 5.
Anyone remember players or police academy the series?

Becca19962014 · 02/04/2018 23:06

Another was highlander the series, I eventually found the DVDs on Amazon, in German (with an English soundtrack) took ages to find and get.

There was a tv show/drama called "passions" I vaguely remember it because I was too young to watch it even though I always wanted too. I tried googling not so long ago to no avail. I think it was American. There was a witch called Tabitha or had a child called Tabitha.

Becca19962014 · 02/04/2018 23:25

Bewitched was the series with the witch who had a daughter called Tabitha in the mid sixties i think it was (I remember an episode about possible moon landing taking place). Later they tried to do a reboot which was called tabitha. I have bewitched on dvd they released all of them a few years ago, I never got on with Tabitha.

They were repeated loads but not anymore, the social effects not bring very good, though I think it adds to its charm.

Becca19962014 · 02/04/2018 23:28

It was 1964-1972 the first series was black and white (it's been coloured for DVD release).

I can't believe it was that early I thought it later than that.

Cherrypi · 02/04/2018 23:47

Crime Traveller from the 90s. That was great. Michael French and Chloe Annett.

zwellers · 02/04/2018 23:55

Forever knight. Theres not enough vampire police detective shows. A repeat then a resolving to the end would be great.

tigercub50 · 03/04/2018 00:04

I can’t remember if it was good enough to be repeated but I’m trying so hard to remember the title of a children’s ghost/time travel series from the late 70s ( ITV I think & poss on Sundays). The girl lived in an old house & could swap lives with another girl. I do remember a bit where they were together though, sitting on swings, and the girl in the past was a bit of a cow! I do remember it being quite dark & it stayed with me, even though I now can’t recall the name. Anyone put me out of my misery?!
