Watching now.

Can’t see most of it as it is shot at night / in poor light conditions.

Anyone else watching?

I keep thinking Eugene will come good and then he doesn’t. Perhaps putting Gabriel on the line is a sign he is turning..

Eugene is gone now you could see how angry he was on the way back to the bullet shed. He is all for himself and will do anything to stay safe. Maybe at some point he will feel guilty enough (Sashas' words might come back to haunt him) to do something but not just now.

Yeah I felt that was a real turning point for Eugene. I could never accept him back into the group after that. He’s gone full Negan.

He has no loyalty. He deigns loyalty to whoever it suits him to at the time.

Perhaps he’s close to his end and will make one final sacrifice in his dying moment...but for who?

I keep trying to predict who else they will kill off before the end of the season (because you know, Kirkman) but I just can’t.

I don’t know how much more Gregory I can take tbh so I’d like to throw his name in Kirky’s hat.

I've never liked Eugene. He is a weak coward how will side with whoever keeps him safest. IMO The first couple of seasons I waS waiting for this mysterious side to him to reveal itself. But it never has. He's just turned out to be a weak cowardly geek who probably still lived with his mother before the apocalypse. His only super power seems to be projectile vomiting 🤮 Grin

Eugene is a very dangerous character, as spineless as he may be. Power has gone to his head. Gregory is very much the same, which makes the pair of the snivellers problematic as others die because of their cowardice.

I love the show, but I don't want it to drag on like so many U.S shows do. I want it to end on a high, and for that ending to be a good one.

If they stopped fighting with Negan and maybe moved on and found out a bit more of what's happening outside a 50 mike radius I could see it lasting a few more seasons.

I keep inventing endings and my DS(18) keeps saying "Noooo. It won't end like that"

(It makes me happy to think of a suitably grisly ending for them all even if DS doesn't see my vision , )

Apparently the finale wraps up the whole 8 seasons and will be satisfying to watch.

Then it’s going into a new direction for season 9, whatever that means.

Best thing to do is google for comic info if you don’t want to read them. I would share on here but it can be a spoiler to those who don’t want to know. Losing Carl is a big drive away from the comics so it feels a bit unpredictable atm although things could potentially still follow a little.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finale. I was almost done with it until they killed off Carl and something other than the weekly fight with Negan happened. Then there was Tobin/zombie infection and Simon Walker.

Now I hope it doesn't revert back to just the weekly standoff. Something different better happen that doesn't involve killing Daryl.

It will be interesting to see if Negan's story follows the comics but so many deviations already.

Simon got off lightly - was hoping Lucille would do the job on that psycho. And I'm worried about Dwight. :-(
