Apologies if a dedicated thread has already been started on this.

Watching now.

Can’t see most of it as it is shot at night / in poor light conditions.

Anyone else watching?

Also, Negan saying "if you beat me, you deserve to be the man" is very significant - I think he's going to live...

Figgygal · 16/04/2018 10:36

Just watched it

Without giving anything away I think it could do with the time jump and reboot whicH has been suggested.

I can't get over the brutality of Rick this season they've pushed him too far are we just supposed to forget because he's Rick or he's grieving? Negan is right in that Rick killing the saviours at the original outpost is what started all this he's killed people indiscriminately and last week suggesting to the guys at the bar that they could fight together and get passed everything that had happened then killing them made him monstrous. Softening him up by showing him tell michonne he loved her and some of the stuff in the finale doesn't wipe clean all that stuff he's done. Not sure how I feel about it all but no doubt will be signing back in come September for season 9

CookPassBabtridge · 16/04/2018 10:52

I've really enjoyed this last half season. I can tell this because I binged all the episodes in two days whereas it took me ages to get through the last few seasons as I couldn't be bothered watching two episodes in a row!
I hope once this is all over, the next thing to look at is why the infection happened, who is trying to cure it.. open the world up a bit beyond rural America and maybe visit a lab in a city who are conducting tests on zombies..

OohMavis · 16/04/2018 11:25

Just watched it, won't post spoilers.

But this episode has laid a brilliant foundation for a good next season! It was very good.

Justyou · 16/04/2018 17:47

Hi can’t i ask anyone who has watched how long the last episode is, I heard it was a longer one but doesn’t look it from tv planner but once me sees 1/2 a show as it didn’t show the full episode.
Also I heard fear was on straight after as a crossover for Morgan so was looking forward to a big binge watch but checking tv planner and it’s not.

Justyou · 16/04/2018 17:49

Can not can’t and don’t kno where me sees came from as it was supposed to say once only saw Confused

Justyou · 16/04/2018 18:18

Aridane · 16/04/2018 19:09

DontOpenDeadInside · 16/04/2018 19:22

TWD is 46 mins long (without ads) Fear is 48 mins.

Justyou · 16/04/2018 19:38

Thank you

Middleoftheroad · 16/04/2018 20:42

It was satisfying with a twist.
Normally I'd be tuning in for GoT now that TWD has expired....dammit....

So disappointed with the finale Sad

TheDrsDocMartens · 16/04/2018 22:09

Hmm, not sure about that.

Mammabear31 · 16/04/2018 22:11

Oh I loved that finale. Finally felt like we've had closure of some sort.

Although I am disappointed Rick didn't use the hatchet Grin

almostbutnotquite · 16/04/2018 22:14

It just seems like more let's live in harmony bullshit. What about the helicopter? Jadis or Anne has given up on that one clearly. The only interesting thing to come from it was the Jesus/Maggie/Daryl conversation.

Goddamn it, it was going so well until the last little bit back at hilltop. Just don’t buy it. Not those three. Nope. Nope. Just no.

Ikeameatballs · 16/04/2018 22:20

I feel a bit meh. Dp says he feels "empty".

I struggle to believe that Jesus would be up for going against Rick and plotting to kill Negan. I'm also unconvinced by Laura from the saviours suddenly waving the white flag. However I'm pleased that the series now has an opportunity to move on. Let's hope that we see something new for series 9.

DrMidgeryMargery · 16/04/2018 22:31

Exactly, Ikea. Really, Jesus? And little tattletale Saviour woman? Chuh is, I believe, an accurate transcription of the noise I made in disbelief Grin

cushioncovers · 16/04/2018 22:51

I can see that Maggie and Daryl would it to kill Negan behind ricks back but Jesus?? And I thought Lucille had walker guts on it and rick got a wound from it. Won't he become ill?

Me and DH felt a little disappointed by the finale too. This season in general just hasn't packed the punch that earlier seasons did. ☹️

StripySocksAndDocs · 16/04/2018 23:27

Not sure what I felt about the finale. I've been fairly apathetic all series and i'm finding just about everyone is becoming irritating!! But I kind of like that episode.

I think it's like when a long relationship has broken down but you don't want to end it because of the time you've invested.

yumyumpoppycat · 16/04/2018 23:32

I don't think Maggie is necessarily planning to kill negan - she wants to punish Rick. She said 'Rick and Michone were wrong and we are going to show them that they were wrong. I think they are possibly going to set Negan free. A bit self destructive if they do but hey!

Dixie did you mean the crowd/ herd of walkers approaching when you said about foreshadowing the whisperers?
