cant wait

i enjoyed s1, tho was full of twists and if i rem correctly it was a confusing end

we weren't sure if she killed /tried to kill henry with a bag over his head

but we had proof it was him due to the bite mark on his shoulder

or something like that

the first series is on demand sowill re watch the last episode to refresh memory

So, it's possible that....

  1. Edward killed his baby sister Juliet
  1. Marcella killed and buried Grace Gibson (ex-husband Jason's girlfriend/colleague in series 1)
  1. In series 1, Jason hired a hitman and had a planning officer killed (Andrew Barnes?)

And if Edward DID kill Juliet, do you reckon that Becky - who is so keen to have a baby - will want him anywhere near???? I think even understanding, kind Becky might freak out at that.

The thing about Marcella's coat, is that it's too big for her and there's an issue which reminds me of the Irish cop show Jack Taylor starring Iain Glen and set in Galway. Jack Taylor is an ex-cop who marches about in a policeman's overcoat, essentially he's a private detective who dons part of the 'uniform' of law and order which soothes his psychological pain from his past.. and transmits authority to his clients.
Marcella wears a coat that is too big for her and it diminishes her and creates a childlike persona - small overwhelmed by bigness, wrap-uppable. There's a Charlie Chaplinesque quality to the way she walks - especially in the coat - she would look hilarious twirling an umbrella and wearing a bowler - small moustache anyone?

I love the show - the madder it gets - but the coat is definitely wrong.

Blonde - re the lorry - I thought the police discovered a dead body in it right at the end of the episode so I wonder if the torturer just randomly seized it and drove it after killing the driver.

Then vanished into thin air leaving the lorry abandoned.

Marcella's team had identified the lorry from its registration a few scenes previously I think.

Excellent call of yours re self-harming Jason tho - bloody despicable and devious man.
Hope he gets his comeuppance!

I love this show and I think Anna Friel is brilliant as Marcella. Yes, she doesn’t smile much and she’s complicated, but she’s real. Remember dci Jane tennison? She wasn’t a barrel of laughs either, Helen Mirren played her brilliantly too

This last episode has made me a lot more sympathetic to Marcella. Her ex is a controlling bastard and an arrogant dick Angry. There's something not right about his gf either. The scene with her dc tied up was horrible. I don't actually know how they could film it. It was also interesting that she felt so bad about the paedophile's wife losing her baby. She's not as hard as she comes across sometimes.

its almost like theyre all.involved. Dodgy vince, the aging rockers, the paedophile, her husband who.clearly did much more than we know in S1, so dodgy, who else? Vinces dodgy wife, the dodgy cop who is sleeping with her and Marcella (quite a concedence...). Wtf have the IVF couple got to do with it? The boxing gym guy in on it? The kud whose dad abused him? (abother big coincidence for that boy if not - abused by his father and abducted by another abuser?). Also massive coincidence that Marcellas son's friend was a victim, even though noone mentioned it last season.

Dunno! Wish all episodes were released!

Poor Reg. Knew he'd be a goner after last week. Thought he might have been poisoned at the last supper but no.

Really hope the young man in the wheelchair who is giving clues makes it.
As he's a liability as far as the killers concerned.

What's with that Nigel neighbour then? He's got a bigger part to play I suspect.
