Yes, I did think Jude and Mary had sorted out their sad back story shortly after she met him. Now he is bitter and vengeful because she loves his son, how unlikely.

I think the St Christopher is a bit of a red herring. It's pretty standard for soldiers, sailors etc to have none.

And SURELY one of the many doctors that's treated George would have recognised the symptoms of an allergy? It's ridiculous. Would have been far more interesting if it was Mary poisoning him.

It would be incredibly cruel for Gary to fake his own death. Cruel to Sarah and his family but even crueller to us viewers when he comes back! I thought Roy was awful, yes he can lack empathy and be pedantic but he wouldn't upset small children like that.

Another one who thinks that the hospital has spent an inordinate amount of time trying to sort out poor George. Particularly as they manage to whip adults into private rooms, tubes up nose, consultants available all hours, tests, operations, prostheses and home within a couple of days.

Am I the only one who seems to have noticed that no one, apart from Anna seems to be all that bothered about the death of Gary? Sarah doesn’t seem upset at all, neither does Bethany etc. All really unrealistic.

Is this Phelan storyline ever going to end? I’ve had enough of it now!

Bethany seemed more interested in ministering to Mary than supporting her bereaved mum.

God it's all getting so absurd.

Roy's outfit and his pedancy made me laugh but I don't think he'd have done that. He's sensitive enough to understand that it would disappoint children, he's never been a thoughtless character.

Just caught up. Norris made me laugh but it felt contrived like they had to do something funny. I thought the Roy thing was strange. When will Robert tell Michelle about the money? It is getting more and more ridiculous.

scrabbler you are right, ROy would havevtold kids that but still done Santa bit surely. Not sure what rush was with 3.5weeks to go that Santa had to do grotto in cafe. Kids not even finished school yet.

No big return for Gary then. What was that storyline all about? Just a plot device for David to find out about the baby and for Gary & Sarah to get engaged? Most odd.

Yes three days bearly anything. Surely even if your phone was blown up you ring from landline or airport to say on your way back but “lost” your phone.

Totally stupid that Izzy would just carry on as normal. I mean you try but given double bearvment surely you be struggling!

I don't like Roy. He is irritating and the whole Hayley plot from marriage to death was awful. I know I'm alone in thinking this.

In a soap full of ridiculous, pointless plots, Gary's non-death is scraping the barrel further than anyone thought possible. Are the writers seeing how far they can push us?

I did think the little scene with Ty and Kirk at the bar was well written and funny and more like the old Corrie days.

No Anne you're not alone, i found the whole Roy and Hayley thing tedious and boring, and they changed Roy's character, he was nothing like what he is now in his earlier scenes.

Anne I always disliked the Roy/Hayley storyline - never convinced me.

EB and thenIghtsky I wondered if someone from the Corrie team had been reading these threads as Fizz mentioned getting Sophie to babysit - never bothered her before - the kids went to the 24/7 childminder.

I thought Gary would at least stay "dead" until the Christmas episodes.
