Anyone watching this new series by Kay Mellor?

Not a bad opening episode. I wish I knew I'd needed tissues sobs Rebecca Flack (I hope I have her name correct) is playing a good baddie.

Freddie is in the Fat friends musical too, i wonder if he is friends with Kay Mellor

What a crock of shit. I love Kay Mellor but some of her plot lines are beyond bollocks.

bloody hell, that was awful, so overdone and ridiculous but i ended up watching it all anyway!

Plus “Rick” has all the sex appeal if a stuffed badger.

Seen a trailer for Girlfriends on soon, another Kay Mellor series. Guessing not many of you will be in a hurry to watch it?

This one has certainly been rather ridiculous. I agree too much packed in. I've found James'/Jamie's character quite affecting in the last couple of episodes: think that actor did a good job. I wasn't bothered about him at first. Maybe they should've shown him with his sons before he started dressing as a woman at work to help us care.

The storyline about James/Jamie was interesting and the actor did a good job. However as the mother of two teenage boys, I don't believe boys could so quickly accept their father dressing as a woman. That's quite disingenuous of Kay Mellor.

I agree re Kate and Rick's relationship not being believable.
I felt it was all one sided ( Rick).
Does anyone else think he looks a bit like the actor Rob Lowe ?

Agree re the two guys at the end. Surely they should’ve been arrested too along with Marcia. I missed the penultimate episode - who was sending the photos? I assume it wasn’t Judy as they were all friends again.

In the fifth episode, Kate confronted Judy about it and Judy didn't deny it. They became friends again because Kay Mellor doesn't do logical plots.

The photo sender was ricks partner (olive?) who was having him followed

I love it even though it is a load of rubbish.

The actor playing James/Jamie is very believable.

I did wonder how Kate could not know who she wanted to be with. What was with all the jealousy about Rob and her co-worker. If she was cheating on him what did she care.

It was unrealistic, schmalzy and packed with too many "issues". However, what a cast! Good to see Miss Hawkins from Mr Selfridge in the last ep.

I thought that Flintoff was ok, he was just playing himself really.

It wasn’t as bad as “in the club” though. Holy god that was shit and I watch a lot of shit.

He is in the series Vera, and is much sexier as a copper!

Kaye Mellors work is absolute shite and thats putting it nicely.
Its all the same but in different settings.
