And she was married to Mark Jordan who is Daz in Emmerdale

sparklepops123 · 04/07/2018 16:12

A close up of Gail and Martin snogging 🤢

BluthsFrozenBananas · 04/07/2018 17:00

We have worse to come, Ken and Wendy .

CaliforniaLoove · 04/07/2018 18:17

I've just got lost in a bit of Corrie Wikipedia hole, it says that Rosie Webster was born on 24 Dec 1990 and David Platt Christmas Day 1990.

Does anyone remember Sally and Gail being pregnant at the same time and giving birth one day apart?

zukiecat · 04/07/2018 19:30

California

I remember that very well!

XSIL and me were both pregnant at Xmas 1990, her DS was born in February, my DD a bit later in July

I remember Sally giving birth in the back of Don's taxi so well

Iwantacampervan · 04/07/2018 19:37

I noticed that there was tea in the cups at the cafe - unlike now when they wave mugs and take away cups around with nothing in them.
At least we don't have to wait until tomorrow's episodes to find out if Sally's OK!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 04/07/2018 20:01

I watch at 6 in the morning, Deirdre didn't blink this morning, I had forgotten her unblinking stare

x2boys · 04/07/2018 20:21

Rosie is called Rosie because she was born on the corner of Rosamund street, how i remember this shit beats me Hmm

CaliforniaLoove · 04/07/2018 20:59

That's nice zukiecat. I like memories like that.

Knowing that David and Rosie are identical ages is weird. They do not seem that way!

zukiecat · 04/07/2018 21:30

I know Californian

Rosie is just so immature, you'd never believe her and David are the exact same age!

BluthsFrozenBananas · 05/07/2018 07:21

I remembered that Sally gave birth in a car, but completely forgot it was Don’s taxi.

Kannet · 05/07/2018 17:57

Apparently the writer at the time said that Rosie and David could get married on the 50t anniversary.

Grin Kannet

Enough with Martin and Gail snogging.

Loved the BIlly Bunter banter in Alf's shop.

Tracy was so reasonable and wise beyond her years back in the day.

Kannet · 08/07/2018 08:29

Ok I'm a few weeks behind but catching up. Mike and alma make no sense to me. I thought he wanted kids

CoolCarrie · 08/07/2018 20:46

He did, but Susan Barlow didn’t want any until she was older, so when she found out she was pregnant, she told Baldwin that she was going to have a termination, but we know she didn’t. She left him and went elsewhere and of course Adam Baldwin is in Corrie now.

Kannet · 09/07/2018 12:36

That's sort of my point. Surely he would be looking for someone young. Not that alma is not beautiful

MrsSteveMcDonald · 09/07/2018 15:12

There is someone who looks a lot like Ashley Peacock in the Rovers today

Iwantacampervan · 10/07/2018 15:31

Today's offering for the 'before they were famous' slot - Diane Louise Jordan who went on to 'Blue Peter and 'Songs of Praise'. Apparently she turned down another role in 'Corrie' for 'Blue Peter'.

CoolCarrie · 11/07/2018 20:53

I can’t remember if the women get their money, but I had forgotten what a shit Baldwin was!

kikashi · 12/07/2018 14:43

He'll get his comeuppance soon. Jones the builder had a crap solicitor if the "going concern" element hadn't been sorted.

drearydeardre · 12/07/2018 17:23

Ken is such a rat - cannot understand why he has women falling over themselves for him
Poor Dierdre cooked him a meal and he was out canoodling (I think that is the term) with Ms Crozier.

sparklepops123 · 12/07/2018 17:47

Imagine ken in his baggy y fronts 😆🤢

cloudyweewee · 12/07/2018 18:09

No thanks. I'd rather watch this Grin

BluthsFrozenBananas · 12/07/2018 21:52

I wonder if the actress playing Wendy did something to piss off the wardrobe department. Everything she wears is totally wrong for a slim woman with a big bust, awful boxy jackets, high necked and buttoned blouses which give her an unflattering mono boob effect and high waisted skirts which make her bust look like it’s at navel level. I know it was the (late) 80s, but surely they could have made her look a bit better.

MrsSteveMcDonald · 13/07/2018 18:22

I am starting to fancy Martin but not with those 2 lumps of putty stuck to his neck
