NOt my theory read iton OG but very interesting one

As we've realised, Frank Morgan played the Wizard of Oz in the 1939 film. Gene has nicknamed Sam 'Dorothy' before now... And someone else has already mentioned that Ray needs a heart, Chris needs a brain, Annie needs courage and Sam needs to get home.

Londonmamma-thatsthe point I think he wanted to die if he couldn't get back so at the end he heard the coma voices again but he is in 1973 and is happy

Donkey jacket, that's the term I was looking for. Doesn't sound very sexy though. Maybe Ladybird can bring out a Reader just for us, to explain the plot..

but that jumping off the building bit could have been in his head iyswim (i.e. a decision to go back to 73 where he was happy rather than waking up...)

they did seem to forgive his betrayal rather easily when he went back didn't they!

But, Sobernow, Sam was still correcting Gene on procedure as they drove off. So (on whatever level they really exist) he doesn't think Gene is Right, just Has His Heart In The Right Place. He'll win him over eventually.

DH says I have to tell you tonight's ending has a similar plot ending to a film caled "Somewhere in Time" starring Christopher Reeves. I have never seen this film, and I'm barely interested enough to share this with you, but he is standing over me. Personally, I was lost as soon as they started p*ssing around in the graveyard.
