Hopefully if I fill the first line or two with crap it won't show up any spoilers?

NOt my theory read iton OG but very interesting one

As we've realised, Frank Morgan played the Wizard of Oz in the 1939 film. Gene has nicknamed Sam 'Dorothy' before now... And someone else has already mentioned that Ray needs a heart, Chris needs a brain, Annie needs courage and Sam needs to get home.

Annie looked awful?

Aloha · 11/04/2007 12:19

Really, really plain. With funny teeth and a double chin! She looked like his mum, or teacher or something. Couldn't for the life of me understand the casting.

ScummyMummy · 11/04/2007 12:21

oh, I loved her. Nice voice, shiny hair, lovely smile colourful eye makeup

southeastastra · 11/04/2007 12:21

aw i liked annie

Aloha · 11/04/2007 12:21

psml at 'colourful eye makeup'

ScummyMummy · 11/04/2007 12:23

Well, I am a little jealous of people who look good in eye makeup, especially sparkly bright colours. My eyes disappear when i wear it...

EnormousChangesAtTheLastMinute · 11/04/2007 12:23

no, can't agree with you there. i thought annie v well cast and just lovely in a fresh, curvy, non-neurotic 70s way. a lifetime away from horrible size zero worked on hags from desp houswives for instance.

Aloha · 11/04/2007 12:23

NOw, if you'd been reading Jackie Magazine in 1973 and had a Miners Rainbow Eyeshadow compact, you'd be a dab hand by now!

ScummyMummy · 11/04/2007 12:27

oo- maybe the bbeb will market these compacts as part of their attempt to cash in on the LoM hype and then i shall be laughing with my Annie haircut and my colourful eyes.

Agree EnormousChanges- I think her curviness is attractive too.

EnormousChangesAtTheLastMinute · 11/04/2007 12:32

not many people can carry off a floral blouse, pin stripe waistcoat and trousers (suspiciously low rise though, i thought) as annie did last night.
yes, if it wasn't for the whiff of mutton dressed as lamb i'd go for an annie cut!

ScummyMummy · 11/04/2007 12:33

How old are you, enormous?

ScummyMummy · 11/04/2007 12:35

That worry was on my own account not yours, btw!

EnormousChangesAtTheLastMinute · 11/04/2007 12:40

ahem. 40.

MrsWho · 11/04/2007 12:44

She was a 70s woman so not as the stereotypical attractiveness of the 00s

OP posts:
Aloha · 11/04/2007 12:45

at 40 (and I'm 43 btw) I think an Annie haircut would catapult you way past your sell-by date. That is a seriously muttony hairstyle!

ScummyMummy · 11/04/2007 12:45

40 is the 70s 20 so you will be fine!

EnormousChangesAtTheLastMinute · 11/04/2007 12:50

aloha you are right. scummymummy, you are sweet. thanks to both but no annie cut for me!

ScummyMummy · 11/04/2007 13:00

Well I want an annie! But she's 29 and I'm 34... She's prettier and thinner. I'm curvy in the "tending to fat" way whereas she just has curves. So I can't decide on mutton factor for myself... Maybe I could just go for eyeshadow lessons?

EnormousChangesAtTheLastMinute · 11/04/2007 13:05

i think you'll be fine at 34. you realise how young 34 is when you're my age! go for it!

Aloha · 11/04/2007 18:22

She is so NOT prettier and thinner than you! Don't do the haircut!

ScummyMummy · 12/04/2007 09:49

Aw- thanks aloha. I disagree completely but am very touched.

MrsWho · 12/04/2007 21:02

REPEAT NOW BBC4

DP is watching on Sky+

Shall I reveal all????

SlightlyMadSlug · 12/04/2007 22:04

SERIOUS QUESTION

Do you think that someone on the 'inside' has 'planted' the Wizard of Oz theories in the chat-rooms. There were a number of co-inicdental references in the final episode.
