I'm sure there are many planning to watch this tonight but I can't see a thread, apologies if there is one.

Looks promising with good acting stock. I'm already worried about the implications for real life reporting and conviction rates if the female is lying. Got a feeling it won't be that black and white though.

I really don't trust the ex - affair with the sister apart, could he have somehow drugged Laura?

Seemed to suggest that Laura has/had MH problems: I hope to God that they don't use it negatively

Why did he end up at hers? If sharing a taxi why did she invite him in?
Phone charger in bedroom. Why didn't he wait whilst she fetched it from bedroom?
His text to her next morning could be a red herring on his part.
What does "what happened last time" mean?
Is she just out to get him because his sons behaviour in her class is making her look incompetent so at risk of losing her job?

I believe her without question - really hope she is telling the truth as otherwise I think it'll set back women reporting for a long time.

Victim blaming - previous mental health problems and was she drunk. I hope at the end she is vindicated, am sure it will be some sort of tense thriller about how unhinged she is and therefore must be to blame until some twist at the end that links him in to the suicide of his wife.

I rec deal pier and restaurant but def doesn't usually look like they. It's a basic cafe - and toilet behind kitchen but a good size one where can get buggy in

That taxi driver plays a bigger part than just Driving a taxi. Cos we never saw the driver who took Ioan from the flat.

JF was good in Downton but I can't take my eyes off her towering smooth forehead (shallow me).
Is a rapist going to say 'excuse me while I get a condom' mid deed?

I think that the writer of an ITV primetime show with this subject matter is going to play it safe by not having Laura lie about the rape, it'd be too controversial if she was. I think that she genuinely believes that she was raped by Andrew but it was actually the taxi driver who did it, as their scene together felt conspicuous to me.

I wonder if it's the sisters husband that has something to do with it perhaps he came over after the surgeon left her to confess he knew about her sister his wife having an affair with her ex it's strange how there were two wine glass washed in the dishwasher and two dirty ones on the side I reckon we are made to think it's the surgeon and possibly she did consent to sex with him but someone else showed up after and drugged her maybe 🤔

DH walked out after 10 minutes and DD took the piss for the rest. It could be sooo good but made for TV in a way my MIL will love (and believe).

Will watch but only for the plot twists.

DNA test can tell who had sex with her, but not whether it was rape or consensual.

I like the fact that you have two characters who clearly have a lot going on beneath the surface. He seems like Mr Perfect but his wife committed suicide. She seems intelligent and strong but something has happened in her past. There's going to be a major twist.
The lapses in continuity are really annoying. She woke up with her clothes on but told the police he'd undressed her. She needed a taxi to get there but they walked home. It's sloppy.

She couldn't be sure with her sister that she told him to stop, but when speaking to the police she was adamant that she did, even though she couldn't remember anything else

If she did have MH issues, of course his solicitor will rip her to shreds. That's their job!
I just can't see that there's any evidence. I can believe her. I can also believe him.

It's a fact that conviction for rape is low, because convincing evidence is very hard.

I reckon a third person raped her, perhaps the taxi driver?
They had consensual sex, she got dressed and said goodbye to the surgeon, someone else comes in, spikes her drink and then rapes her would explain the inconsistencies in her being dressed/undressed?
Or the surgeon is a psychopath who killed is wife and staged her suicide...

Why put the glasses in the dishwasher instead of just washing them and putting them back in the cupboard? And didn't he say early on "I couldn't find the glasses" ? Is that significant?
