What are people's opinions on the new Bake Off so far? And yes, I know we're only a few minutes in. IMO the new presenters feel a bit like they're trying a little too hard to be Mel and Sue.

Imlistening I'd watch it, it's good, it's not too fancy pants with it's show stoppers and I've actually learned something! Also Noel is lovely Sandi is ok and Pru is great. (she's more REAL than Mary somehow, and clever).

I had never really heard or seen Prue before. I was amazed they managed to cast someone who sounded (accent wise) pretty much identical to Mary! Obviously that's not why they got her, but still I found it uncanny.

Don't count your chickens...my brother seemed to skip the teen tantrums only to go (temp) a bit bonkers in his early 20's but he's fine now (albeit a copper )

It sounded from the opening that it would be a surprise exit - so could it be Sophie or Steven? Or have I fallen for editing tricks?

No way can Steven go. Though I think Liam going was a travesty.

Stacy is such a flapper ...:

Stacey keeps rubbing her hands in her hair - and her hands are covered in food :/ I realised that to the public she doesn't come across as a strong contender because of her flapping about which distracts from her baking which the judges always seem to like.

Sophie or Stephen to win. Kate and Stacey have gone downhill in recent weeks - they haven't been consistent enough.

My 9 year old felt insulted that Stacey's cakes looked like a kid made them - she thinks hers would be better!

Stacey is irritating me so much this week. I didn't mind her so much before (though she should have gone on parchment week obv). The four are a bit worrier heavy and humour light making this week a bit hard to watch.

I have never heard of craquelin before.

Sophie and Steven are my favourites! I imagine Kate may go but Stacy is surely on dodgy ground too??!?
