What are people's opinions on the new Bake Off so far? And yes, I know we're only a few minutes in. IMO the new presenters feel a bit like they're trying a little too hard to be Mel and Sue.

Opinions?

I like Stephen but he can take risks which sometimes don't pay off.

MarshaBrady · 21/10/2017 10:10

I'm glad he's in it, he's done some incredible show stoppers

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 21/10/2017 10:18

Our favourites have all gone now - Julia, Jan and Liam :-(

MarshaBrady · 21/10/2017 10:25

They were my favourites too

Holz657 · 21/10/2017 10:25

I really don’t like Stacey. I’m not sure why but since the start she’s just irritated me. She’s getting a bit better baking wise but she definitely should of gone the first few weeks. I really liked Liam :( I’m also surprised Kate is still in. I think Stephen or Sophie will win!

ppeatfruit · 21/10/2017 14:51

Holz You could be me!! I feel the same, It'll be a punch up between Sophie and Steven.

WaxOnFeckOff · 21/10/2017 14:55

I looked at Sophies profile. She should be a lot more interesting than she appears.

bonfireheart · 21/10/2017 17:29

Isn't Sophie a stunt woman?

WaxOnFeckOff · 21/10/2017 17:33

Training to be I think it said but she is also ex army, you don't expect people like that to be so invisible and under the radar...or maybe you do? :o

ppeatfruit · 22/10/2017 10:19

I was surprised when Sophie's personal details were somehow different from what I expected! I don't know what I expected !! Halloween Grin

bonfireheart · 22/10/2017 11:30

This is weird and sometimes it can be the oddest thing that annoys you about a person. Sophie is sensible and had her hair always tied back in two plaits to keep out of her face and food (unlike Kate & Stacey). But at the same time it makes her look like a grown woman with a kids hairstyle n I find it confusing.

ppeatfruit · 22/10/2017 13:32

I don't think she's very old though bonfire

WaxOnFeckOff · 22/10/2017 13:38

She's 33

ppeatfruit · 22/10/2017 13:41

Thanks Wax That's not old to me Grin my dd2 is the same age !

WaxOnFeckOff · 22/10/2017 13:53

Well, I could have a child that age but instead I have teenagers!

ppeatfruit · 22/10/2017 14:39

Lucky you ! Halloween Hmm

WaxOnFeckOff · 22/10/2017 14:43

I meant that we are probably the same age, it wasn't an insult!

ppeatfruit · 22/10/2017 16:28

No I know it wasn't! I just thought I prefer to have adult dcs than teenagers, so much stress! I've just got ex dils and grandchildren who are approaching teenager hood !

WaxOnFeckOff · 22/10/2017 16:44

Ah, I get you now :) I have to say I am enjoying having teenagers more than any other age so far. But then mine don't go out and are overly compliant and well behaved. I keep waiting for the bubble to burst.

It is quite stressful though with exams and uni open days etc.

ppeatfruit · 22/10/2017 16:46

You ARE lucky Grin

WaxOnFeckOff · 22/10/2017 16:54

I am indeed :o

ImListening · 23/10/2017 19:26

Have got all this on series link but not watched them yet. Any good or shall I not bother? Over to you oh wise ones Grin

Floellabumbags · 24/10/2017 14:23

Please come and live with me and help me with my tweenager who has serious attitude problems.

WaxOnFeckOff · 24/10/2017 15:37

Floella. No idea where I've gone wrong. DS1 was always like this. DS2 was the tantrum king as a toddler. Slammed a few doors at 12ish but grew out of it and is the most laid back 16 year old imaginable

musicform · 24/10/2017 15:39

Bit boring, but I found that when it was on BBC2. Ive only watched the odd episode
