What are people's opinions on the new Bake Off so far? And yes, I know we're only a few minutes in. IMO the new presenters feel a bit like they're trying a little too hard to be Mel and Sue.

I feel mortified for Prue. Oh god she must just want to die. Can you imagine putting a foot that large in your mouth.

I Googled it as soon as I heard Prue had let the cat out of the bag. Am I the only person who prefers to know results beforehand? (I'm the same with tennis and football on TV - I don't like the tension if I don't know who wins!)

Well, at least I don’t have to bother watching tonight. If social media’s too complex for her, she should just stay off it...🤐

Awww, no, surely they won't fire her? I must say that, having been spitting mad sceptical about the whole move to Channel 4 thing, I've really warmed to Prue.

lily219, me too. I like the programme but I hate the suspense. Do you sometimes read the end of books first?

Can someone link to a spoiler? I'd like to know actually as I'm out tonight and it means I can wait till the weekend to watch it on catch up.

I actually prefer knowing too. I just find it so stressful not knowing.

Most episodes I end up finding out in advance, so it doesn't bother me.

I just looked at a spoiler and I’m very pleased. The right person won.

Footle- yes, sometimes though you can often guess the ending anyway. And I agree - the right person won though I wouldn't have minded one of the other two either.

I also like Prue, think she's much more interesting on the show than Mary Berry was, and think the programme is better now than it was before. The only bits I don't like are the cringe-worthy set up scenes with Noel and Sandi.

It was on the R4 news just now. They didn't tell the result but it has sure made a big fuss! They interviewed one of the last winners and she was saying she doesn't know how the winner is kept a secret for so long!

I hope Prue stays - she's much better than MB, and keeps the Orange One in his place.

TBH - if people hadn't re-tweeted, most folks wouldn't have found out, because it was taken down. B;;lame the re-tweeters, not Prue - we can all make mistake.

Have to admit, I thought it was somewhat ironic that for years producers, contestants, families etc kept it all under wraps, and then this year - POW!

But be fair - no-one has died and it's not like leaving sensitive government security information, or people's banking details on the bus or anything . . .

Exactly it's not so terrible, it is today's. I'm going to miss it.

Noel is also good at keeping Paul in his place. Yes I love Prue too.
