What are people's opinions on the new Bake Off so far? And yes, I know we're only a few minutes in. IMO the new presenters feel a bit like they're trying a little too hard to be Mel and Sue.

The worst thing with Liam going is that now I don't care who wins. I just hope it's Sophie as she's good and I prefer her to the others. I was really wanting Liam in the final.

I’m desperate for Sophie to win now. I’m not that keen on Stephen, and neither Kate or Stacey deserve to win.

Really sad about that. Liam is amazing. Don’t care about any of the rest now

Just hoping Liam will be snapped up for a cooking show and cook book like Nadia. He's got that likeability. Stuff you GBBO!

I hate stupid Smuggy Stephen and he will probably win now. I like Kate but she was clearly the worst today. Liam was robbed.

Agree that Liam should not have gone! And I don't normally disagree with the decisions.

I'm gutted Liam has gone, he's been my favourite since the beginning. I feel it's made even worse by the fact Stacey and Kate are still there when neither deserved to have gotten even this far.

Oh well hopefully Stephen will win now, Sophie's ok but just a bit too boring to have much of an opinion on her one way or the other.

I was watching later, as I had to go out. I was able to ff through the ads . But that is a rubbish decision. , it should have been Kate that went , just not understandable at all stomps off ......

I think Kate is lovely, but she really, really should have got the bot this week.

How Stacey has turned round from being the one who should have been chucked off (but somehow wasn't) for the last umpteen weeks to being start baker (WHAT?!?!?!?!) this week, I don't know.

The whole thing was a travesty.

Sophie had the best showstopper, Liam wasn't the worst overall, though he did have a poor week (still better than I could do) and I can't bear the thought of Stacey going any further.

You'll have to excuse me now - I have a black armband to sew, and a small wax stacey-shaped doll to stick pins into.

(However I did like it when Liam said that in two years he'd have Paul's job. If I was Paul I'd be very afraid . . . )

Kate had the worst week out of the lot, she should have gone!

So glad The annoying Steve didn’t get star baker again. Stacey has bee hiking on by the skin of her teeth and has been rubbish the last few weeks. I thought Kate would go. I like her so glad she’s not. So sad Liam won’t win.

I shouted noooo at the TV as well. My dD just looked at me like I’d grown two heads and my mum told me off for daring to wake the cat up!

Gosh! Haven't been on this thread before today but I was really pleased for Stacey. Liam was bottom on the technical and really didn't impress with his showstopper. I'm sorry to see him go but it had to be either him or Kate and she came second on the technical.

I think there's a good chance that Sophie will win overall. She's very consistent. I'd be happy with a S3 final - Sophie, Stacey and Stephen.

DDs have assured me there is no need to worry about Liam. He is "awesome and will do brilliantly" apparently.

Just seen it and agree Kate should have gone. Liam has a fantastic personality, am sure we'll see him on TV again.

Kate should certainly have one this week, they seem to have forgotten how well Liam did on the clanger bake.

I'm wondering if other people are watching the same programme WRT Stacey. She's done really well in several rounds, and has a great sense of humour. I really don't see how any of us can claim to know better than the judges which cake was best, given that we don't get to taste them.
