Cousins is different to aunt and nephew.

Trills · 21/08/2017 21:37

How the fuck it took Dany all this time to get to Westeros when you can zip about like no bugger's business is beyond me.

She wasn't really trying for most of it.

SleepThief84 · 21/08/2017 21:39

Ooh that had me on the edge of my seat! Glad I didn't watch the leak. Arts is being really weird, surely it'd benefit both of them to get along?

White walker dragon! Ooh!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 21/08/2017 21:39

Holy fucking hell. Dany did not react nearly enough to losing a dragon! And that makes two episodes out of two where someone magically reappears from deep water totally implausibly. Did the wights just let go of Jon or something?

Every interaction involving Arya and Sansa made me scream FFS at them. Particularly Arya, who is annoying the crap out of me atm.

The Capture the Wight plan was so shit. What the feck did they think was going to happen? Oh yes, we will obvs be able to sneak in and grab a wight away from the Entire Fucking Army without getting caught! Oh yeah. No obvious problem with that plan, noooooo.

StarkintheSouth · 21/08/2017 21:41

Now my heart rate has returned to normal- wow! Great fun! Plot holes aside (i.e. Distance covered in record time etc) Briemund gives me such life my heart was in my throat at that scene on the lake.
My theory is that the loss of her dragon will ultimately tip Dany over the edge and the final series will see her pitted against Jon for the throne. She's the prince who was promised Azor Ahai who's just as much a threat as the white walkers who are rising to defeat her. That's the fight or the song of fire and ice just as much as Dany and Jon representing fire and ice. That's just my theory anyway. And as for Dany and Jon getting together well Gilly almost revealed that he is in fact legitimate; but then that wouldn't stop Dany marrying him would it?

I'm so obsessed. What will I do when it's over? :-O

StarkintheSouth · 21/08/2017 21:42

And the capture the wight plan was as several have said.. so stupid! Good job they brought a few red shirts along to lose...

ElenaGreco123 · 21/08/2017 21:52

Well, just before the Dance of the dragons Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Rhaenyra_Targaryen married her uncle, Prince Daemon Targaryen awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Daemon_Targaryen the most badass character in the whole ASOIAF universe.

Jonnel Stark married Sansa Stark awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Jonnel_Stark.

ElenaGreco123 · 21/08/2017 21:53

Sorry Joonel Stark married his niece Sansa Stark.

wavesandwellies · 21/08/2017 21:56

what an episode!!

I wonder if Dany can control the dragonsame because shes made of fire and Jon snow is made of ice like another poster suggested, will he be able to control the white dragon?

bran knows who Jon's real father is so why hasn't he told anyone?

TheSecondOfHerName · 21/08/2017 21:56

Sorry if this has been mentioned before; where did they get the chains? Was the Night King carrying them in his man-bag?

wavesandwellies · 21/08/2017 21:58

I thought that too thesecond

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 21/08/2017 22:00

Why the fuck did Sansa send Brienne away? Although the only sensible line anyone in Winterfell said in the entire episode was when Sansa said there was no way she was setting foot in King's Landing while Cersei was there.

MarvellousMonsters · 21/08/2017 22:00

TheSecondOfHerName, the night king had the chains in his Bag of Holding, and he brought them for the same reason he had the Big Spears.

McTufty · 21/08/2017 22:00

Happily we know the Lannisters have a shooter that can fire a valyrian steel arrow at the ice dragon.

Trills · 21/08/2017 22:01

Maybe Sansa is just "Not doing things that Littlefinger suggests"

MarvellousMonsters · 21/08/2017 22:02

McTufty, I was wondering how many dragon crossbows they built.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 21/08/2017 22:03

Lannister-Night King alliance?

I know, we only have to hope Lannisters join the fight. I suspect they will eventually but only because something happens to make Cersei feel she has no choice.

My guess is that they join an alliance and the first half of the next series is about that but all the while cersei is making plans to screw the others over as soon as it's won, and the second part is about that.

However this has concerned me: Lannister-Night King alliance because I actually wouldn't put it past them Grin

KentMum2008 · 21/08/2017 22:09

I thought there was only 1 dragon shooty thing and it got destroyed by, ummmm, a dragon.

Trills · 21/08/2017 22:10

They can build another dragon-shooting massive crossbow on wheels.

The chains came out of the plot device cupboard.

EsmesBees · 21/08/2017 22:11

My husband's theory is that Jon will still get to ride the undead dragon as it will sense that Jon, too, has been resurrected. Sort of zombie affinity.

Can anyone explain what Benjen has been doing all this time (and how he's been surviving)?

McTufty · 21/08/2017 22:11

I imagine they've been making more mango, in anticipation of further dragon attacks from Daenerys

McTufty · 21/08/2017 22:13

esmees

Not a bad theory. All the loose strands are starting to come together. Jon Snow being legitimate (and rhaegar's rightful heir) - not sure where that will go, I don't see Dany v Jon Snow for the throne. Them being together avoids the issue perhaps, King and queen.
