I'm pretty sure book Cersei was devoted to Joffrey.
Part love and shame to see how he turned into such a snivelly little shit.

AcrossthePond55 · 19/07/2017 02:17

How do I think it will all end?

"All hail Her Grace, Arya of House Stark , First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Lady of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm."

She's got Danaerys' courage and Cersei's cunning. She's a Stark and could be a rallying point for the North.

AcrossthePond55 · 19/07/2017 02:19

Oh, and Gendry would be a perfect consort for her.

SootSprite · 19/07/2017 07:51

🤣🤣 Euron Flashheart 🤣🤣

I'd LOVE to see Arya and Gendry get together

HandbagKrabby · 19/07/2017 08:21

I love an over the top Lord Flashheart type rogue so I'm happy with Euron - I'm not a book reader.

On second viewing Ed bothered me a bit less, I guess it didn't thwack me in the face this time. I've had shape of you running through my head for the past two days now though!

AryaUnderfoot · 19/07/2017 11:15

The original outline for the book series (I think it was 1993) had Jon and Arya together at the end of the series. I just can't see it happening now.

Wobblebeans · 19/07/2017 11:46

Didn't the original outline have Arya in a love triangle with Jon and Tyrion? No chance of that considering the portrayal of Tyrion in that play in Braavos, and Arya never really spent any time with him.

BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings · 19/07/2017 11:48

Sansa could be caught between both though.......

Wobblebeans · 19/07/2017 12:16

Maybe, that is definitely more likely. Tyrion was one of the few men who has been nice to Sansa.
As a side note, I don't think the wolf we see in the episode 2 trailer is Nymeria. I could be wrong, but it's possibly a member of Nymerias wolf pack, which could explain why it looks so threatening. Maybe Nymeria comes to Arya's rescue or something?
Just thinking out loud here...

BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings · 19/07/2017 12:41

I like to think that Sansa and tyrion would fall in love, she's not a child now and as you said, he's one of the few men who have been nice to her. Plus they are still legally married anyway!!

AryaUnderfoot · 19/07/2017 12:47

I just can't seen any chance of Sansa falling in love with Tyrion in either book or show series. In the books it's emphasised over and over again that she doesn't want to marry him and doesn't find him attractive at all.

Wormulonian · 19/07/2017 13:13

I think because so many fans want Jon and Dany to get together that it won't happen. I read a few years back that GRR said fans had guessed most of what he intended so that he was minded to change it.
Jon and Tyrion formed a connection in the first series at the wall and a lot of people think that perhaps Tyrion is not a Lannister - in the books his dad was jealous/suspicious of a Targayren (can't recall which one) who had designs on Tyrion's mother. If so then Jon and Tyrion could also potentially ride the dragons with Dany.

Do we think that a reformed Hound could help Arya rehabilitate when her killing is done (if she does not kill him)?

BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings · 19/07/2017 13:24

Dunno arya - there's also a lot of emphasis on marrying not in love, but love growing afterwards.

Worm, it was aerys (mr mad king), which would make him Danys half brother and jons uncle. Undecided about the theory in general though.

Yamayo · 19/07/2017 13:27

I always thought the Song of Ice and Fire referred to Jon- half Targaryen half Stark.

I still think book Dany might turn into her mad father. Not sure about the show as she's such a fan favourite.

WeDoNotSow · 19/07/2017 13:32

Yamayo
I agree, I think Dany Will utter the words 'burn them all' at some stage.
Also agree Jon is ice and fire, no Dany needed

Yamayo · 19/07/2017 13:40

Yay a kindred spirit!

(Only liked Dany in the first book after that she becomes one dimensional. And she's always going on and on about how she deserves to rule a land she's never even set foot on. When her advisors try to warn her she might not be welcome she utterly dismisses them).

AryaUnderfoot · 19/07/2017 13:41

Jon is the blue flower growing in a wall of ice in the House of the Undying 'Bride of Fire' prophecy.

I think he will betray Dany when she turns all mad-king.

"Three treasons will you know - one for blood, one for gold and one for love"

Yamayo · 19/07/2017 13:51

Maybe Jorah would be the one for love? Who are the other two?

LeonardoAcropolis · 19/07/2017 13:58

De-lurking, I love this thread.

Do you think we'll see Edmure Tully again? Or perhaps Arya left him in the dungeons. I did feel sorry for him.

BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings · 19/07/2017 14:05

Blood - mirri max dur? Can't remember!!
Gold - Jorah
Love - ???

BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings · 19/07/2017 14:11

Danys "betrayal for love" and Azor ahai creating lightbringer by plunging his sword in Nissa nissa's heart cant be coincidence...

Or is that blatant misdirection?!

MineKraftCheese · 19/07/2017 14:21

Anyone else think Littlefinger might engineer it so the Karstarks/Umbers appear to betray the Starks to try and drive a wedge between Sansa and Jon? Sansa seems on the cusp of turning heel and Peter has the skills to turn her.

OlennasWimple · 19/07/2017 15:31

Sansa and Tyrion aren't legally still married, as the marriage was never consummated.

I guess when Edmure turns up, he or his baby son will be the new lord of the Twins

OP posts:
BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings · 19/07/2017 15:47

It's not really annulled either at the mo though, is it? Is there a time limit between marriage and consumation? Grin

Yamayo · 19/07/2017 15:56

I assumed it was annulled if she was able to marry Ramsay?
Can't imagine Roose Bolton risking an illegitimate marriage for his son. Sansa was the key to Ramsay gaining support from the northern houses.
