AmI It was Raah who said it wasn't an injury thing and he was annoyed he was being beaten- I wa challenging that.

AmIthatbloodycold · 12/07/2017 16:17

Knockturn yes i know. I was agreeing with you. Sorry if it didn't come across that way Smile

KnockturnAlley · 12/07/2017 16:20

Oh ok sorry Grin

Muller vs Cilic is looking to be a good match- I'm not sure who I want to win!

JaneJeffer · 12/07/2017 16:27

Cilic is looking very determined now. I don't care who wins.

Dumbledoresgirl · 12/07/2017 16:30

OK, I'm building up an order of preference list now that Andy is out.

I think Federer is at the top.

I don't actually mind Djokovic though I know that is an unpopular thing to say here. Grin Plus, I don't want him taking Andy's number one spot (or is that inevitable now?)

It would be nice if a new man could win. not Querrey or Muller though because of them being big servers. Probably not Raonic either, though he deserves it a bit more having been a finalist last year.

Berdych, Cilic - meh. I am open to being won over.

AmIthatbloodycold · 12/07/2017 16:32

I like Cilic. He's been quietly getting on with it outwith the headlines and fuss about the others.

Would be good to see him do well

Raahh · 12/07/2017 16:38

Finally back ( til 6.30 anyway).

Cilic seems to have this match now. It's been a good effort from Muller though.

The commentators on the radio whilst I was out were talking through their bottoms as usual. Apparently , Roger lost early last year - the semi finals??lGrin

I wonder how much the bookies would have given for Querrey/Cilic and possibly Raonic / Berdych in the semis?

I've just won a massive paddling pool from the school fair raffle. I don't have a hose pipe, and the dog would probably destroy it. Grin

Ha ha I can just imagine my dog with a paddling pool, it would be mincemeat Grin

I need to go and clean the kitchen but I want to stay watching the tennis.

JaneJeffer · 12/07/2017 16:55

Dame Maggie Smith looks great. I love her.

AmIthatbloodycold · 12/07/2017 16:55

Dumbledore I like Novak too (except for the cringy love stuff) but I don't want him to get number 1 Smile

bookbook · 12/07/2017 17:10

well, Raonic is being outplayed here ... I do love Roger's game -

bookbook · 12/07/2017 17:33

am I being cynical here - a comfort break after 2, quick, sets? and then faffing with his laces ..

Dumbledoresgirl · 12/07/2017 17:46

A comfort break just means a trip to the lav, right? How long does he need?!

Raahh · 12/07/2017 17:53

Konta took ages yesterday- I really felt sorry for Halep hanging around waiting for her, and then she just sauntered back, drinking her drinkHmm.

Mac gets quite strident on the subject of comfort breaks. Grin

Berdych is up in the tie break.

I nearly forgot about that one. Grin

First set Berdy!

Djok getting an elbow massage?

MajesticWhine · 12/07/2017 18:01

Great tie break there by Berdych

MajesticWhine · 12/07/2017 18:05

Raahh, I put £10 on Cilic for the championship on Monday morning at 14-1.
Which I'm quite pleased about 2 rounds later, but we'll see. Looks like no one will get past Roger.

Raahh · 12/07/2017 18:07

You never know, Majestic. Goran was very positive about his chances Grin. I'd love Cilic to win another slam. I think otherwise most people will always see his US win as a bit of a fluke, and he's better than that.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 12/07/2017 18:09

Djokovic out

Raahh · 12/07/2017 18:09

Djok has retired. He will not be happy to be doing that.

Maybe he's got plans for his anniversary later ? Grin

Nice to see Berdy trying to get the crowd to cheer them on. Not really a great way to see him go out, even if I'm not a fan.

Berdych has been a finalist, though. It wasn't a tight final though.

OP posts:
MajesticWhine · 12/07/2017 18:11

That's a tad disappointing, even tho I am no Djoker fan.

GrouchyKiwi · 12/07/2017 18:25

It's always a shame to see a player retire. Does that mean Andy retains the #1 spot for a bit longer?

I agree that it looks like Fed will take it, but you never know.
