I agree, grouchy this isn't an injury thing. He's being beaten. Which we know he doesn't like. Comprehensively. I'm surprised he hasn't created a drama.

He hasn't talked about he injury, because it's insurance in case he's losing, Andrew.

If I may join in ......

I think Murray must be in a lot of pain. It isn't just the lack of movement, it is the completely off balanced nature of his shots. I actually can't watch anymore. Poor guy. Still, Andy, go home, and cuddle your daughter and look forward to your new baby. There is more to life.

As a sour afternote: don't you get sick of big servers? It is so boring to watch!

QuiQuaiQuod · 12/07/2017 15:47

what the hells going on with Murray?

Love Cilic and Muller so don't mind who wins but I favour Cilic -better looking. (sooooo shallow, Qui!)

thing is with Andy, he loses this match the pressure on Konta will be enormous and she might not be able to handle it. with 2 Brits, they share the pressure IYKWIM.

Goingtobeawesome · 12/07/2017 15:47

He doesn't look like he's pissed off he's being beaten. He looks like he's in a lot of pain.

JaneJeffer · 12/07/2017 15:48

Why aren't the crowd getting behind Andy? They seem unusually quiet.

I don't like the big servers either Dum that's why I hated Sampras. He was so boring to watch.

GrouchyKiwi · 12/07/2017 15:50

I think he probably is feeling that injury, I think you can see it in the way he serve. He's not getting up on the ball. But he's let it get to him more than he should.

I agree, Dumbledore that it's very hard to watch.

AMAZING stuff from Querrey there, and I think we just saw Andy's injury from the way he stumbled then.

Raahh · 12/07/2017 15:51

Qui I am a big Cilic fan, so I really hope he goes through. will be a massive match though , if the semi is a repeat of the Querrey Cilic 2012 match That went on for hours. !

He looks in agony

bookbook · 12/07/2017 15:53

Poor Andy - but Querry deserved that win

Raahh · 12/07/2017 15:54

I think there are big servers, and big servers. Some are boring- like Sampras, and some aren't. I don't find Querrey boring, or Cilic. I like Raonic, though I know he is a bit marmite Grin. And Fed has a big serve- but such an all round game, it is just a small par of it.

Am thrilled for Querrey.

GrouchyKiwi · 12/07/2017 15:55

I like Raonic too, apart from his All-American hairstyle.

Two years in a row defeating the champion. That must feel good.

JaneJeffer · 12/07/2017 15:57

Looked very painful on that final point. I'm not fussed about anyone who's left in now except Berdych. I'd love him to do an Ivanisevic now and win at last!

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 12/07/2017 15:57

Bad luck Andy obviously in pain but still flashes of brilliance. Wonder how far Querrey gets?

Raahh · 12/07/2017 15:58

Muller no giving up against Cilic. Could be another long match here.

Djok won't be happy if his match is delayed again Grin

Oh god yes, Sampras! King of Boring! I have been watching Wimbledon since 1977, yet lost interest for years - the Sampras Years.

OK, so, as a Murray fan, I haven't really been looking at any of the others but now I need a new man to back. It won't be Querrey - sorry, I just can't stand serve heavy players (can I put it that way?) - so who to go for? Federer, I guess, unless anyone wants to convince me otherwise?

I am a Roger fan, so I'm just hoping he does well now :)

Raahh · 12/07/2017 16:00

Grouchy it's a good record to have. Grin

Dumbledoresgirl · 12/07/2017 16:02

Roger just comes across as a really nice man. I am happy to see him win it again.

Re the pressure on Konta: I don't know. I was feeling the pressure of potentially 2 British winners, so now that Andy is out, I actually feel less pressure is on her. But she probably doesn't feel that way!

KnockturnAlley · 12/07/2017 16:04

Poor Andy :( It's obvious he's injured and in a lot of pain- it's not just he's annoyed he was being beaten at all. Gutted for him. Querrey was very good though and deserved the win- I hope he does well in the semis.

KnockturnAlley · 12/07/2017 16:05

I'm going for anyone who isn't djokovic or Federer- I can't stand either of them!

Dumbledoresgirl · 12/07/2017 16:08

Grin You like a challenge KnockturnAlley? Surely it must be odds on one of them winning.

AmIthatbloodycold · 12/07/2017 16:12

Didn't watch the match bit followed on another site

Knockturn. Absolutely, of course it's not just because he's annoyed Hmm

He's a fighter and wouldn't have wanted to give up, i just hope he's not done any permanent damage

I do know he'll be as gracious in defeat as always.

Oh well, just have to hope that Novak doesn't win and take no 1 spot

KnockturnAlley · 12/07/2017 16:13

Haha Dumbledoresgirl (great username btw). I know it's likely one of them will win, especially now Andy and Rafa are out. Although I dislike both of them, I can't deny that they are fantastic players and if they play in a semi final against each other it should be a brilliant match. I would love to see an underdog win now though!

Raahh · 12/07/2017 16:14

I would like Raonic to win today, and really I'm not keen on Berdych either, I find him quite boring to watch. bit- as a Rafa fan, I don't want Novak to win the tournament, as he will move back to number 1Grin, at the moment, Murray is still just a few hundred points ahead of Rafa.
