I unabashedly love Mirka's jumper and have a pair of jeans it would look perfect with. Glad to know that Primark is the place to look for that kind of thing.

Fed's tux is ... um ... interesting. Cobra of the Rising Sun is not where I expected him to go.

Raahh · 17/07/2017 20:42

Would you pay that much for it though ,Grouchy? would you?Grin

He was probably one of the most restrained at the Met Ball, though Grin.

I love Mirka's style, really, I think it is the perfect foil for how pompous Roger sometimes looks. Grin.

She looked quite wedding-y at the Champions dinner though. Again, like she did court side.

I've nearly survived Blue Monday.

and what did I find in my kitchen earlier?

A bloody flying ANT! Angry.

I attacked it as though it were Inverdale commentating on a Rafa match...

Raahh poor ant Grin

The fashion at the Met Ball is crazy and they have to navigate those stairs dressed in all sorts!

QuiQuaiQuod · 18/07/2017 09:03

Still missing it Sad

JaneJeffer · 18/07/2017 09:13

Aww Qui TennisTennisTennisTennisonly 363 days to go (or thereabouts)!

Raahh · 18/07/2017 14:05

I wish I could say I have achieved lots of things today.

I would be lying. Grin.
It's still too warm.

I think I've seen off the ants.

I was thinking yesterday, as you do- there is both a Next Gen ATP Tour Final , and the 'Big Boys'Grin Tour Final- and at the moment, Sascha Zverev looks like he could, at 18, qualify for both.(he's way ahead in the next gen one) Is that allowed?Grin Were the organisers expecting that? I'm not sure, but I think one is just before the other.
He'd earn his right to be there, I suppose.

Inverdale gets paid more then CLARE BALDING. Think this calls for the first meeting of MAJI (Mumsnetters against John Inverdale).

Raahh · 19/07/2017 18:54

Sue I saw this earlierAngry

I am also surprised at how little (comparatively) Sue Barker gets paid, when you consider how many events she seems to crop up at (although she is stepping down from Question of Sport this year, I think).

Andrew Castle wasn't on the list I saw . Maybe he just does it because he loves the sound of his own voice?Grin.

Raahh · 19/07/2017 18:59

We need to storm the BBC in our MAJI t-shirts. If we ring Roger, he might tell us the name of the bloke on the market who printed his Ro8er t-shirts. We might get a good rate. It's a very worthy cause. Grin

OP posts:
GrouchyKiwi · 19/07/2017 21:59

I need one of those MAJI t-shirts. I'd pay more for one than for Mirka's insanely cool jumper.

CremeEggThief · 19/07/2017 22:02

OMG about Inverdale! ShockAngry

As a previous poster said, he definitely knows where the bodies are buried!

JaneJeffer · 19/07/2017 22:05

I'll do both for a tenner Grin

Brilliant Jane.

Yes Raahh they probably say "look Andrew, you can waffle on for 3 hours and you get sit next to John and meet all the big guns in tennis, aren't we really kind? Will you come along for free?" and he goes for it.

Raahh · 20/07/2017 07:58

GrinJane Brilliant!

Andrew definitely works for free. After the travesty that was his stint in Strictly, he probably owes the Beeb money anyway. Grin

I'm dying to know which matches are involved in this www.theguardian.com/sport/2017/jul/19/three-wimbledon-matches-potential-match-fixing-tennis so that I can come to my own conclusion!

Raahh · 21/07/2017 16:39

Interesting Jane.
I would love to know who it is. It says it's nothing to do with the injury retirements, it usually ends up being some one really low ranked . I would very much doubt anyone high profile would be involved.

Unless it's Djok, and he's really lost the plot Grin.

Dogs and David Ferrer are in the final in Umag. Which is nice. Neither have had a good year.

I'm missing not being able to watch tennis 'live', always takes me a while to get used to only being able to score watch. Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 23/07/2017 09:53

And I get my self confused 'watching' online...Ferrer and Dogs are in the final in Sweden, not Croatia. Grin

I'm determined to waffle away til we fill this thread, ready for the hard court season anyway.

Hope everyone is having a happy Sunday. ( It's not raining here, which is good).
