Casualty continued...

A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

Well lily and Ian were being highly inappropriate at a funeral!!!

Mc180768 · 18/06/2017 13:47

Lily & Ian - in the hearse... at a funeral

Does up Victorian nightdress & shudders

CaptainHammer · 18/06/2017 16:13

Poor Ethan, I too got a bit emotional when he was doing his eulogy.

Glad Lily and Ian got together but did it really have to be there?!

Imbroglio · 18/06/2017 16:15

Lily and Ian were "being more Cal".

Cary2012 · 18/06/2017 22:06

Loved Cal's conquests sitting together in a pew as one.

They reeled Lofty in from the spin off. Why?

Connie and a balloon.

And why is Ethan not wearing his glasses?? I don't get this.

And if anyone else wants to slap dozy Duffy, I'm first in line.

Solo · 18/06/2017 22:48

I used to love Duffy back in the day, but she (Lisa Shipton) can't act for toffee; funny how I never noticed that 30 years ago though Confused.

Did you see in the pics of Ethan there was no glasses in some.

Cary2012 · 19/06/2017 19:16

I feel I am missing something really important about Ethan sans specs!
Yes to above poster, I chuckled at Lofty holding the coffin well, a loft...

TizzyDongue · 21/06/2017 07:10

Didn't notice the levitating coffin!

Didn't think too much of this week's, but did laugh as Duffy did an overexagerstrd sob and charlie look sideways symapathiticaly at her. The it was Charlie, of course, swooped in to save the eulogy.

Did we ever discover why Cal and Etan had different surnames? Sure thast was a thing when they first appeared.

AnarchyKitty · 21/06/2017 08:37

Thanks to you lot, I now spend my time watching for Ethan's disappearing glasses.Grin

Solo · 21/06/2017 11:19

At approximately 08.50.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/06/2017 17:59

I noticed the dissapeering glasses :)

PatricianOfAnkhMorpork · 26/06/2017 09:28

Well this week's was a new low. Personally I'd sack the bloody lot of them apart from Dylan.

specialsubject · 26/06/2017 18:06

Re last week - we also said 'floating coffin'. Anyone who has seen it done for real knows that a coffin is a struggle to lift.

Lofty started in casualty, hence his return.

And.... In a hearse????????

Haudyerwheesht · 26/06/2017 21:47

On holiday last year we were staying next door to Dylan - I wished it was Max

Optimist1 · 01/07/2017 22:01

Someone please tell me that in real life a woman wouldn't be giving birth without the benefit of at least a screen around her?

And of all the professionals I've met the ones least likely to accept a demotion are the doctors!

I'm also finding Dylan's current issues difficult to accept - if anyone can view a situation in an analytical, emotionless way it's him. So I can't believe Cal's death is weighing so heavily on him.

Not a happy viewer tonight. Angry

frazzled3ds · 01/07/2017 23:10

Agree with the lack of screen - does seem a bit bizarre.... that was a rather lame story line.

Sam .... hmmm .... not too sure what the bigger picture is there, perhaps some reconciliation between him and Connie is on the cards, though I don't know what's happened to his American lady and baby!

Dylan.... I get the feeling there's a breakdown of some kind on the cards maybe? It is unusual to see him falling apart.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 01/07/2017 23:12

Dylan might be all hard facts and emotionless most of the time but he had that issue a while back about the number 4 so I think he is quite fragile mentally.

Ceto · 02/07/2017 22:50

Holby City's bizarre employment practices in operation there. In what other hospital trust do senior managers get to resign without giving notice, and then just waltz into an unadvertised registrar's job without actually applying or being interviewed?

Solo · 02/07/2017 22:53

I too thought that Sam and Connie might rekindle their relationship but, Grace would run for the hills wouldn't she!

yaela123 · 04/07/2017 07:31

I don't know what's happened to his American lady and baby!

Oh yeah! I forgot about them. Anyone care to remind me how that storyline ended?

yaela123 · 04/07/2017 07:34

And there is pretty much no way that a medical director would resign and then turn up the next day as a registrar (whose vacancy hadn't even been mentioned or advertised)

Solo · 04/07/2017 23:07

It's getting silly is't it? But I'll keep watching anyway

AlasEarwax · 07/07/2017 23:35

I have nothing worthwhile to say about this week's episode, but I reckon Dylan should win quote of the week with "whatever peels your banana." Delivered in pure, dry, deadpan mode. Grin

He's the only thing keeping me watching these days!
