A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

Obviously, now Connie is going to live by the medical powers of Ye Olde London Town, we're going to sit through months of Connie and Ethan Will they/Won't They. With Alicia doing smouldering glances in the background.

And if anyone cares, I'm so YES!! Connie and Ethan! GET IT ON! Then his symptoms will pop up and he'll die about 3 episodes later. She may even put him out of his misery. Actually, scrap the "may".

I got totally sidetracked wondering how the hell Ethan managed to find a parking space on the Thames embankment.

Parking issues aside, I thought it was the best episode in a while. I think Connie is supposed to be emotionally stunted, so it makes sense to me that she has absolutely no idea how to respond to Ethan's care of her, and he doesn't have the maturity to know how to handle someone he looks up to and admires being dependent on him.

I think pps who've said Dylan was phoning Zoe are probably right, though I really wanted it to be Zsa Zsa so that we'd see some more of the wonderful Sharon Gless. I found this article which says it was a one-off but she would consider doing it again. I think there'd be more online if they were going to make her a regular, though.

I'm concerned for Dervla's welfare. We haven't seen her in ages - is she in doggy rehab?

Oh I thought there was a possibility of making Za Za come back when Dylan says he needs to keep in touch. And the episode felt like it was a possibility too

Holby is obviously a great place to work when you have a terminal illness. Jordan, Glen and Connie have all had miraculous recoveries. Ethan can definitely stop worrying about his Huntingdon's.

Don't forget Jay, the nurse a few years back, who had a testicle removed for cancer and despite that and chemo still managed to father a baby with Dr Winters.

When Ethan and Connie were sat by the river drinking champagne they kissed or Connie kissed him, I'm not sure if he reciprocated as dcat was sticking her bum in my face.

My employer (NHS) wants the costs of the damage to my computer refunded. You know, with me spitting out Diet Coke in laughter all over it after reading that.

Did anyone else get flashbacks to Casualty's very early days when they saw Charlie's car steaming along to London? It briefly occurred to me that they were going to have him crash on the M4 within a stone's throw of the Clfiton Suspension Bridge as a kind of symmetrical start and finish to his time on the show. But I suppose Charlie having a fatal car crash might just slightly deflect from the High Drama of Connie's life-saving surgery and Connie/Ethan.

Also, I can't help but wonder whether the plane bringing Grace home for her tearful reunion with Mommie Dearest will crash spectacularly three miles outside of Holby.

Is Connie and Ethan an actual possible storyline??

I know it's joked about a lot but does anyone think it may actually happen?????
