A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

I hate an Elle/Jacob episode. I cannot stand either of them.

Not sure how the Connie story will end. Dylan looks like he's heading for meltdown though, although him measuring out a shot in a syringe made me smirk a little....

Why can't Connie ever just tell the truth! Obviously she didn't have to go into he nitty gritty in a voicemail but it's no wonder Grace feels she comes second to her Mum's work when she uses it as an excuse for everything.

Poor Connie I noticed tonight that she wasn't wearing a pair of beautiful, clicky-clacky high heels which was a good giveaway to how incredibly unwell she must feel.

I was also desperate for her to be honest with Grace (to a degree) on the voicemail.

I can't imagine they'd kill her off because she's fantastic but they have depicted her as having a very severe form of cancer so I'm not sure where the storyline is headed.

She's just such a fantastic actor IMO and bring a cancer survivor herself and having lost her wife to cancer it must be such a tough story line for her to do.

I'm holding out for Jac Naylor to save the day re Connie.

I could write for twenty minutes about the ridiculousness of the Connie plot but would only work myself up into a frenzy (about a TV soap)! I'll restrain myself except to mention her wig - all that manhandling/shocking/probing and it didn't come adrift?

Why hasn’t someone noticed that Cal's traumatic death has restored Ethans eyesight to perfect vision? Surely they’d want to write a paper on it?

Maybe Cal was wearing the family contact lenses and has now passed them onto Ethan?

Alternatively, whatever /whoever it was that cured Ethan's eyesight is now going to work its magic on Connie's cancer, hooray.

Sorry, that part is reserved for Christine Cagney, or whatever her character was called when she popped up all unexpectedly as Dylan's mentor a couple of weeks ago, setting my little heart a-flutter. I think she needs to return to sort out both Connie and Dylan. And with any luck, Dervla will have a major part somewhere along the line.
