A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

She's got a cancer relating to the heart. Last episode she started chemo, thus the hair falling out in this one.

I wonder if the actress will shave her hair off for real? It looks as if she will, which will be huge for her because she had cancer in real life a few years back, didn't she? Not sure I could get my hair back and then chop it all off for a part :(

She has apparently been having PTSD symptoms since having to do this story line after her own real life cancer experience.

That's so sad that she's having PTSD from it

Wow Elle nice to keep that from Jacob

I used to like Elle, but when she started being girly and giggly on the subjects of Men and Sex I went off her. Marty made her even worse and now she's revealed Blake's parentage to Jacob with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. (Not that I like him particularly, but he didn't deserve that.)

The staff of A&E seem strangely unbothered by the fact that there's just been a mad gunman wandering round the hospital murdering their colleagues.

Just caught up..... that was a pretty major bombshell Elle dropped on Jacob! Wonder how that will all pan out......

The thing about the show that really annoys me at the moment is that while Robyn and Glen storyline. Why are Casualty showing them to be friendly towards each other, no animosity, Glen sauntering around like he did nothing wrong etc?

If my fiancé had left me at the altar and let me think he was dead which then resulted in me having a baby on my own I know I wouldn't be sat next to him in a pub and laughing with him....

Plus - Robyn is always in that pub after work so where's Charlotte? Who is it that doesn't mind that they're left looking after her baby whilst she's drinking with her friends?

We all know nurses finish work at about 8-9pm and I'm pretty sure there aren't any nurseries or Childminder's that work that late, never mind have the baby even later than that so the mother can go for drinks after work.

Charlotte can't be with Duffy, Charlie or Max as usually they're all at work together....so where is she?

Robyn must have had the shortest maternity leave in history. I think she was only away from work for a few weeks. Incredible if you had a 'normal' birth, but a premature one?????

Oh, I dunno, I know someone who went back to work within a couple of weeks of giving birth, having worked up to the point of going into labour. Even Robyn doesn't beat that.

He just made a random appearance at the start of the show for some obscure reason and then he was one of the paramedics on site who was helping to tend to the patients who'd been turfed out of their hospital ward and also care for a woman who'd got injured as a result of the shooting.

It was mentioned during Casualty by one of the characters that Ian was on enforced leave following the incident.

If everyone even peripherally involved in the incident is on enforced leave, I'm surprised the hospital can still function.

Think there should have been more made of it really - not just because there would have been a bit more mentioning it is the real world (yes ok I know!!!) but also because not all Casualty viewers are Holby City viewers.

They are a bit wet with the crossover stuff - whole of the ED blown up by a bomb/crashing helicopter - wards upstairs functioning absolutely fine. Hospital on lockdown, mad shooter roaming the wards, multiple killings - passing mention shoehorned in in the ED and then business as usual.

I watched casualty for YEARS before realising Holby City was based in the same hospital 🤦🏻‍♀️

Do we think Zoe might return?

I heard (via Digital Spy) there's a possible one of at Christmas.

I heard she is returning for one episode. I hope she and Max end up together!
