A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

I enjoyed how Louise was able to get the info of basically any patient she likes off the GPs just by giving a couple of first names. Patient confidentiality in the Holby area needs some working on!

New to the thread so please can someone reassure me it is perfectly normal to fancy Dylan and come over a bit funny when he does that hands on hips thing? Anyone? No? Just me? Ooooook.

Optimist1 · 21/05/2017 08:19

Perfectly acceptable to feel that way about Dylan, Lila ! Wink

HesterLee · 21/05/2017 09:24

It was crazy how it took Connie so long to get into her car, when the young lad ran off, that he had gone all the way down that long drive and completely disappeared by the time she got moving.

But even crazier was that Connie got the same wee lad to do chest compressions on an adult when there were so many people stood watching.

Let's not mention that she shocked the policeman without even letting the AED assess his rhythmn!!

walmo · 21/05/2017 10:29

Get in the queue Lila.

TizzyDongue · 21/05/2017 10:45

Recalled two others

Connie looking all other the shop except when driving (though I confess that this is a bugbear of mine in tv programmes and films anyway - ooh let's have a chat with the passenger and look at them all the time and not the road).

The AED was the other: mostly because none of the many folks hanging about were apparently thinking enough to go get it until a child went to find it (and quite obviously the cafe owner knew of its existance seeing she ran off with Hugo to show him were it was).

As mentioned the fact the AED just went straight to shock and there was no voice out of the machine.

DoomGloomAndKaboom · 21/05/2017 10:58

How has no one mentioned that Beppe from Eastenders is back in the police force (he was booted out when he was Beppe) under a new name?

Also, what is the point to Max, any more?

AND htf is Wooden David allowed to have the bumbag? Is it an OFBB? Does he fear zombie apocalypse and it's stuffed full of supplies to ward off the undead, when they rise from resus, filled with vengeance and covered in bad make up?

emochild · 21/05/2017 12:14

I think Dylan has been reading this thread

Describing lily as the poster girl for the fantastic healing properties of the hospital 😂😂😂

Optimist1 · 21/05/2017 16:40

Ooh, there's a letter in this week's Radio Times on the subject of Ethan's glasses :

As a fellow wearer of spectacles I find it difficult to suspend my disbelief regarding Casualty's Dr Ethan Hardy and his laissez-faire attitude to wearing his glasses. Rather like Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, who used his glasses as a prop during a ponderous moment, it seems Ethan removes his to signify a plot twist.

He spent a recent episode (6 May BBC1) apparently half-blind, yet reacting to everything as if he had 20/20 vision.

" Where do we go from here?" asked Alicia. Surely the answer was "Back to the pub to get Ethan's glasses before he crashes the car. "

You belong on this thread, Rowena Thornton of Baildon, West Yorkshire if you're not here already ! Grin

morningtoncrescent62 · 21/05/2017 17:14

My blooper of the week was 'Drugs councillor' on the mother's record.

Looks like we're set up for a tedious love interest story with Elle and her poorly police officer. Sigh.

Lila, it's obligatory to fancy Dylan on this thread.
Although I don't.
I don't fancy any of them.
Which might explain why I fell asleep within 20 mins of last night's episode, and can't be arsed to watch it on catch up.

Although before I nodded off I was amazed at Lily's speedy recovery, they must have some good drugs in that A&E, they really must.

ButtonMooooon · 21/05/2017 22:19

AND htf is Wooden David allowed to have the bumbag

Don't even get me started on the infection risk note to self it's not real Blush

yaela123 · 22/05/2017 08:05

Where did the cuts on lily's face go? There must at least still be some marks - or is her foundation too thick?

yaela123 · 22/05/2017 08:07

I'm glad Elle said no to the date. Finally someone actually acknowledged hospital protocols, even if it's all gonna be forgotten about next episode

Solo · 25/05/2017 12:01

And someone must have cut into the tape on the 'mystery box' for the bottom to fall out like that too! (just caught up)

Pixel · 25/05/2017 19:08

Oh yes the mystery box. They didn't have any right to open that surely? How convenient that the bottom fell out Hmm.

I've just caught up too, can't believe how ridiculous the whole Connie and Hugo thing was! It was hardly appropriate to use that poor man's heart failure as an opportunity to give Hugo a 'go' at resuscitation. Maybe she thought it was going to help with his science coursework. After all, a tiger mother never gives up, even when it's not her child Grin.

Anyway, dire in the extreme, and I see what others mean about none of them hanging around to do any actual work (except Dylan of course, and Saint Lily).

CaptainHammer · 26/05/2017 22:10

I've finally caught up after being away and I'm shocked. For once I hadn't seen any spoilers so didn't know Cal was dying. Not bothered that he is gone but sad for Ethan :(

ButtonMooooon · 26/05/2017 22:46

Don't be Captain, he'll be over it next week no doubt WinkGrin

TheDrsDocMartens · 27/05/2017 17:29

I watched today but obviously got bored as I missed what was in the box Blush

Pixel · 27/05/2017 18:49

I missed it too first time and had to rewind. Think it was some t-shirts and baseball caps.

Optimist1 · 27/05/2017 20:11

I think the stuff in the box was a late delivery of stuff for Charlie's stag night?

No Casualty tonight! Sad

Mc180768 · 27/05/2017 20:26

Dylan. Oh yes.

ButtonMooooon · 27/05/2017 22:08

What's going on? I just went to put it on and it's not recorded and it's not series linked for next week either Sad

emochild · 27/05/2017 23:00

Wasn't on tonight due to the fa cup -not sure about next week though

ButtonMooooon · 28/05/2017 09:13

Oh it's gone in now Hmm

yaela123 · 28/05/2017 21:41

I just went on to iplayer and it's not there Sad
