A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

Pretty much the whole episode seemed to be built on flimsy story lines bordering on the far fetched. Connie clearly has Ethan lined up as her next pet project, that surely won't end well.... the driving lessons thing was poor, and the Dylan storyline is beginning to test my ability to suspend belief given how out of character it's becoming for him! That said, nice to be seeing bit more of him and the developing friendship between him and David.

Agree with your whole post frazzled. I've hung on watching because I really like Dylan but this story line seems wrong for him.

Yes, frazzled and Captain - up to now Dylan's character would have done everything strictly by the book; this recent storyline is really unbelievable. His friendship with David is great though!

If I'm honest, I just wanted to see the end of Sanosi so that Dylan gets away with it. I think the boy will drop him in it anyway somehow.

I think the story line with Dylan and Samosi is really silly. Dylan is the last person to smuggle an illegal immigrant. What is he going to do with him????? Dylan is the best character; I hope this won't ruin it.

Agree with comments on Dylan, ridiculous that he would contemplate smuggling him in the first place. How predictable the uncle is a wrong un. (And that's putting aside the incredible coincidence that he lives in Holby in the first place). There's no way the story can end well for Dylan. He can't exactly take him back. Dylan and David are good though.
I like Iain and Lily (the meeting was a bit daft though).
Connie and Ethan is a bit wierd, but then I think it's supposed to be a bit unhealthy. and I've had enough of Ethan doing the awkward frowny, mopey face all the time. He has one facial expression. (And I haven't forgotten that he left his glasses on the table at the pub either).

I don't mind all the daftness if they've got some decent patient stories and a good 'watch out for that chainsaw' moment, but they're few and far between.

I quite like the current Dylan storyline - it's bringing out a side of the character that has always been there but which he finds it difficult to acknowledge or demonstrate. And the boy who plays Sanosi is a brilliant actor.

So in Holbyland there's no protection for whistleblowers, and a fully qualified doctor who couldn't get a job as a result of whistleblowing would rather take a paramedic job than, say, get a doctor's job abroad. Ri-ight.

But it's nice to have Josh back.

I'm really pleased Sam and Josh are back. Classic Casualty characters. I really like them.

But I'm finding I can't remember half of Sam's storylines which is annoying

I can't either. Had to look up who she'd married. Can't recall her and ian haven an affair.

Mind you I spent most of it thinking that the dark hair woman (in the couple) was the same actress that has played Baz.

What do we think will be wrong with Connie?

Not got a clue re Connie! Was an unusually short episode last night though.

It's going to get confusing when Sam Strachan comes back now that Sam Paramedic is around. I can't remember who she married and went off with either.

Is it just me quietly hoping that the miraculous return of heartbeat is the beginning of a Hallowe'en story arc in which Holby is overrun with elderly lesbian zombies?

Didn't Sam marry Tom Kent? Plus she is Dylan's ex wife.

I had absolutely no recollection of Tom Kent until I googled him just now.

She married someone in the actual A&E didn't she?

I wasn't watching when Sam was in it before so don't know anything about her. I can't imagine Dylan being married!

I'm guessing Connie will be pregnant. There'll be some gripping storyline where she confides in someone & gradually the entire hospital will know but she'll still avoid telling Sam. He'll only find out when she's heavily pregnant & she actually arranges to see Grace. There'll be some bickering over it & the next thing we know she'll go into prem labour, Grace will call Sam who'll swoop in to save the day & they'll reconcile with still no mention of his family in America.

I thought Connie might have a heart problem.

I'm happy to see Josh back but I don't like Sam. I don't know why, I didn't like her before(the character that is) .
I thought last nights episode was boring.
