A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

When will Connie learn to stop bringing /grace into work?

Grace is utterly tedious. And why was she suddenly all happy about going back to her mum's? Have I missed something?

Poor Denise Ellison though, as horrible as she is, she has lost a husband and son within weeks of each other, and become estranged (haven't seen most recent episode so this may have changed) to her only other son Sad

I wondered why Jez (and Duffy but slightly less) was so affected too. It was like it was someone he had a special relationship with but it was clear that wasn't the case. It was a bit odd

I thought this week was an improvement.
Just needed less Duffy/Jacob/diamond.

Bit of a political element too with the rants about staffing & waits for treatment.

Also noted they cant actually do fake vomit in one take! Diamond and Chloe should have been thrown out within ten minutes, and no one seemed to notice that diamond left her car across the ambulance bay.

Just watched. Don't mind the one shoot thing but it really does mark out poor acting doesn't it - and sadly they chose the lesser acting actors as the centric characters.

Two of those centric actors were Jez and Duffy, neither of whom seemed to be able to put across that sometimes certain cases really hit those in the medical profrssion really hard - not always for personal reasons, they just do.

Fed up with all the manufactured angst about Connie actually doing some work while she's, you know, at work. Who expects to take their teenager in with them and then give them their undivided attention all day long? And why does Grace need to be constantly entertained, you'd think that by now she'd have learnt to take a good book or some homework with her.

The one-shot thing this week was quite clever but did get rather irritating after a while. Would they really have agreed to have a couple of teenage girls hanging around a busy ED like that? I was surprised they didn't find Diamond (!) one of the green smock things rather than Charlie's shirt. I've a horrible feeling we were supposed to be amused Wink.

Connie is appalling, unfortunately she isn't a pantomime villain because there are bosses like that. Promotion by sex, favourites do less work, clutter the place with their kids and so on. And her godawful dress sense - all praise to the actress for keeping a straight face.

Grace is a nasty brat because she has a queen bee mum, so that's how she learnt it. She's also sadly a little realistic. Kid is a good actress.

I caught up last night...did not like the camera swimming around the place ~ made me feel dizzy.

Can't see why Jez would have gone into a burning building; much more likely that Ian would do that IMO.

Did anyone else hear the crack when the motorcyclist tried to move and then he appeared paralysed?
That Diamond was awful! So she'll be back in a couple of years as an annoying F1 Grin, Chloe was nice though.
I don't recall the ED being that busy before? And Louise could have just confiscated the drum sticks! She definitely didn't have to break them even though they were really annoying.

Pixel Grace is actually only 11yrs old, not a teenager. She's been in Casualty since 2014, so she was only 8 then. Makes me wonder if any of her scriptwriters have ever met any actual children Confused

It's back on next week even though they said it was off for 3 weeks!!! I just restored it on my planner to double check I hadn't imagined it!!

I thought it was odd when they said it's not on for 3 weeks because next week its athletics but didn't say why it wasn't on for the other two!!

Seriously - Dylan, Alicia, Louise and David all pop off to do good works in France leaving just Worst Mother of the Year and Fragile Ethan to cope in the ED? Patients would have been better diagnosing each other!
