A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

Does anyone remember Tom Chambers dancing (and winning) Strictly years ago? He was goooood! And has a great behind too

Some good acting by Ethan there! Shocking tonight.

If there's going to be a full investigation, will they be checking CCTV and see that Ethan was in with What's-his-face immediately before his demise? Will anyone mention the fact that he hasn't worn his specs since Cal was murdered?

I wish that Connie, Grace and Sam would just bugger off. They could take Charlie and Duffy with them.

Why does Grace not get that her Mum is at work and therefore has work to do!

It is getting a bit tiring the whole Grace getting funny because Connie gets called away etc

I find the 2 dimensional-ness of Connie so tedious. The kind of "superbitch", workaholic successful woman that we're supposed to go oh she's an awful mother, no wonder Grace is acting up blah blah. They do the same with Lily, because obviously all successful female doctors have constant blowdries and are uptight. She needs Ian to bring out her fun and relaxed side. Yawn.

I can't believe that the actor who plays Charlie is paid over £350k per year - we,ll, I say "actor"; he seems to have only two facial expressions (quizzical or bemused) and, while he has perfected the art of gazing into the middle distance, you could hardly claim that he has any range of acting ability. He only has about three words to say per episode as well.

If I were the other actors in Casualty, I'd be pretty miffed.

I was surprised he was paid so much too. I guess he's been going for years in it though so inflation?!

Anyway watching? The sound is terrible!

Yep, I do. I'm waiting for him to be given a storyline that sees him waltzing across Resus and doing a quickstep through the car park.

Grace is utterly tedious. And why was she suddenly all happy about going back to her mum's? Have I missed something? (Not watching this week's at the moment, will catch up later.)

It's been a pretty busy episode, quite like the one shot thing, although I don't know it would work every week.

the sound was awful. When the drumming was going on I thought it was broken. Was very amused by the camera action switching to the nest person and following them. I could imagine the kerfuffle behind the scenes getting everyone in the right place at the right time.

I love Casualty but I can't bear it when they mess around like this week. All the acting was over egged and the one camera shot thing makes me feel sick!

And then they finish by saying it's off for 3 weeks 🙄

It was as if all the cast were on glue tonight! The Diamond girl was beaten into second place in the Highly Irritating stakes by Duffy - I'm quite a calm person but if I'd been in the ED I would have been sorely tempted to give her a slap - flitting around in a busy-busy-busy way, stopping occasionally to take a patient's hand a give a little head-tilt, or just laughing in a maniacal tinkly fashion.

Jez sounded pissed, his speech was so slurred and mumbled.

Why were Jez and Duffy so affected by the baby dying storyline? I'm sure they have had terrible horrific deaths to deal with on a regular basis what with being a paramedic and a nurse. It didn't really seem to fit but then again the whole episode was a whole mish mash of nothingness.

I think it's time for a major disaster to hit Holby that wipes out the uber irritating characters - Duffy and Charlie first please.
