After watching worst tv of the 90's on five I was having a quick google of worse tv ever and one show universally panned was one I loved- called 'out of this world' 80's sitcom about a girl whose half alien and another one me and my sister remember but no one else about a ghost haunting a family that had moved into her house after she'd choked on a chicken bone.
What ransoms do you remember?

There was also a sitcom not too long ago set in a house which had Denis a Waterman in it. The housekeeper liked her sherry, and Dennis would always,,when asking if she'd like a drink, would sAy "just the one, Mrs Wembly". I often find myself quoting it quietly to myself.

Wooden mouse- was it 5 children and it? They played in a gravel pit?

I loved 'the queens nose' on ccbc and also maid Marian and her merry men and bought myself the box set last Christmas

Loved rude dog and the dweebs.

Also, the raggydolls? Loved that too!

EverySongbirdSays · 03/12/2016 14:40

Maid Marian and Her Merry Men was AMAZING. So funny. As was Round the Twist the australian one.

There was also a couple of really good Aussie kids shows on early mornings

One about a Foster Mum and children

and

The Girl From Tomorrow

MadHattersWineParty · 03/12/2016 14:41

Just remembered 'Pig Heart Boy'!

EverySongbirdSays · 03/12/2016 14:42

Yes greenend it was so good, seeing people just become so confident, whether they found someone or not.

QuestionableMouse · 03/12/2016 14:43

Anyone remember the last train? (I think that was what it was called) end of the world thing, people stuck on a train and frozen, then they wake up years into the future.

Kannet · 03/12/2016 14:49

Wooden. Could it be "the girl from tomorrow"

I loved that

Another vote for The Tomorrow People

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tomorrow_People

EverySongbirdSays · 03/12/2016 14:54

Tomorrow People and Girl From Tomorrow were two different programs.

The Girl From Tomorrow came back to save the world with a magic headband, and it had a message about climate change.

woodhill · 03/12/2016 14:55

That awful King of the castle in the late 70s about a boy being bullied in real life and ending up in a weird castle

MistyMeena · 03/12/2016 15:01

Break in the Sun. Something about a houseboat and a girl who runs away?

The80sweregreat · 03/12/2016 15:06

Ponk, i remember the Brittas empire ! It was quite funny , he hated people going to his gym!
Dave channel used to put on old ones around 7 years ago.

missyB1 · 03/12/2016 15:07

I remember break in the sun! Or I think I do, I seem to recall her being in Margate at a funfair?

Also a sort of general knowledge show called "How!"

MyWitlessPal · 03/12/2016 15:11

Lame Ducks - a sitcom starring Lorraine Chase.

The Other 'Arf - see above.

That's My Boy - starring Mollie Sugden as an overbearing MIL.

Stay Lucky - romantic comedy drama with Jan Francis and Dennis Waterman.

MyWitlessPal · 03/12/2016 15:13

Ooh, and She's Gotta Have It, which was a kind of precursor to Trinny and Susannah, presented by Liza Tarbuck.

And speaking of Liza, who remembers 'Watching'?

iklboo · 03/12/2016 15:18

I remember Michael Bentine's Potty Time!

Badders123 · 03/12/2016 15:21

Some of my faves...
Clopper castle
Chorlton and the wheelies
Tripods

EverySongbirdSays · 03/12/2016 15:23

Speaking of Liza, who remembers that properly random drama were the actor is in a coma in Australia but he's also in her house and only she can see him

MrsJayy · 03/12/2016 15:26

Are you sure it was potty time was it not cartoon time ?

DramaInPyjamas · 03/12/2016 15:27

game shows called Bobs your Uncle with Bob Monkhouse and Love Me Do with Shane Ritchie where couples competed in full wedding gear and then got married as a prize at the end

I was obsessed with 80s 90s game shows
Remember when game shows were the big tv highlight of the week? Then reality tv came along, I suppose they are modern day game shows in their own way, but it's not the same :(

woodenmouse · 03/12/2016 15:36

Not the tomorrow people. It was in the 90s when I was at primary school

woodenmouse · 03/12/2016 15:43

fluffywuffydoda · 03/12/2016 15:51
