Lotta totally superb acting, creepy as nothing else, especially taking into account it wasn't too graphic - and the sex element was only hinted at but subtlety is much creepier than if it was blatant. Poor, poor young guy, and his mother.
ineed if you read the real story, he moved out of the house and was homeless/staying in different places that's why he wasn't caught for a while after the bodies were discovered by another tenant doing DIY. He was 'unlucky' to be recognised by a policeman when walking about - but really he didn't care by that point, he couldn't kill anymore, was homeless so he didn't care much, plus he was arrogant enough to think he won't be hanged as he could embelish his mental issues (hence going to doctors and telling tales about his blackouts to them).
For the life of me I still dont get it why his wife didn't leave - they lived separately already previously and her brother was inviting her to escape to his house - just why? grim house, grimmer husband and she must have known she's in danger. Just why? he must have had some hypnotic powers for all these women trusting him or being totally manipoulated like the wife. Btw she was the only woman he didn;t have sex with after killing her., shows he killed her because she guessed he was guilty, but he had some feeling for her.
