Is anyone watching?

Not seeing the two murders take place made the episode pretty chilling. The film, the creepiest film I've ever seen, is explicit about Christie's vile crimes and I can't recommend it enough. But the murder and necorophilia scenes make it a very tough watch.

Groovee · 30/11/2016 16:29

Really enjoyed it.

CoolCarrie · 01/12/2016 19:00

Wonder if there will be a tv series about Dr Crippin, now that is a very interesting story, did he kill his wife, or was it a man buried in the cellar espically as new evidence has been revealed in the last couple of years, and The Julia Wallace case is also a real mystery. Who killed a respectable old lady, the husband or someone else?

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 02/12/2016 13:45

Martin Compston is playing Peter Manuel in a drama starting next week called In Plain Sight might be worth a watch too.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 02/12/2016 19:19

Bleak as fuck, really enjoyed it.

southeastdweller · 06/12/2016 16:43

On again tonight at 9!

RTKangaSANTAMummy · 06/12/2016 16:52

DH and I are watching it with lights turned off

Magpie18 · 06/12/2016 17:09

Really looking forward to tonight's episode - added interest is Jodie Comer (Beryl Evans) is from my neck of the woods. Excellent young actress, has handled some diverse roles very well. Hope to see a lot more of her in the future.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 06/12/2016 17:53

I'm watching, can't wait.
Recent interview with Tim Roth here: www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2016/dec/04/tim-roth-if-you-neglect-working-class-for-so-long-they-will-rebel-against-you

FlowerFairiee · 06/12/2016 21:23

I actually think that Tim Roth is a brilliant actor. I have only ever seen him in Quentin Tarantino films - Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. I think he is underrated and it's a shame he isn't given more roles. because he is a very talented actor. I feel exactly the same with Samantha Morton.

I can't believe that Evans got hanged when it wasn't even him that did it. Geraldine the baby got murdered as well didn't she?

Bedsheets4knickers · 06/12/2016 21:44

Digestive how do you know what happens ?

Dulra · 06/12/2016 21:45

Oh God digestivemuncher I was just coming to ask what happened to the baby. Did he murder her as well???

Manumission · 06/12/2016 21:46

Yes the baby too Sad

It's a true story bedsheets. A famous case.

Bedsheets4knickers · 06/12/2016 21:46

Wish I'd never opened this thread . Is it worth watching next weeks

DigestiveMuncher · 06/12/2016 21:48

Apparently but in this he says he's giving her to a couple he knows who can't have a baby...

And it's a true story bedsheets I thought everyone knew about the facts sorry :/

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 06/12/2016 21:48

where is Ethel ?

Has she gone away ?

Manumission · 06/12/2016 21:49

Yes it's a complex story bedsheets. The writers will be aware that the story is widely known, so it hasn't been written for suspense so much as exploration of events.

I don't think you can accuse anyone of spoilerism really.

MistyMinge · 06/12/2016 21:50

I'm struggling to watch this. It's good but bloody hell it's grim, especially knowing it really happened. Thinking about that baby makes me feel so sad

braceybracegirl · 06/12/2016 21:51

Where is Ethel and what happened to th3 baby ?

Manumission · 06/12/2016 21:51

And what then happens to poor bereaved Timothy Sad

DodoRevival · 06/12/2016 21:51

Missed part of it (and not recording)

Saw up to him coming home to find his wife had died. Why is he now arrested?

Manumission · 06/12/2016 21:52

It's almost worse actually; Knowing what's coming and just watching it unfold.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 06/12/2016 21:54

It's really sad and very disturbing Sad

DigestiveMuncher · 06/12/2016 21:54

Omg so he killed the baby after he left for his aunties then!!
Timothy ends up getting hanged for both murders before it came out about Christie Sad
